Why We Like This Place
When you’re at the top of one of the tallest buildings in Los Angeles, you expect a breathtaking view, and at the City Club on Bunker Hill, that’s exactly what you get. Floor-to-ceiling picture windows reveal a spectacular panorama of the City of Angels, from the gleaming skyscrapers nearby to the mountains off in the distance.
Turn your gaze to the interior of the club, and you’ll also be very impressed with what you see—26,000 square feet of contempo-rary sophistication. This premier business club allows you to take in the details of your surroundings: dark mahogany woodwork, ornate chandeliers and walls adorned with eclectic paintings—all works of local artists. A large display case showcases vintage wines and champagnes, and fresh flower arrangements add clusters of color.
Events here are especially gorgeous at night, when the city sparkles below like millions of tiny diamonds strewn across a dark canvas. Each of the two adjoining main dining rooms has its own view: The La Cima Room looks east, while the Las Colinas Room faces north. If you hold your festivities in La Cima, you’ll also have access to a jet-black baby grand piano and an ebony marble dance floor. The triangular Angeles Room has a double vista, thanks to east- and west-windowed walls that meet at a point. Cou-ples often exchange vows at the room’s apex, with the rays of the setting sun blessing their union. Additional private dining rooms are available for smaller parties or meetings of four to 20 guests.
Along with its elegant décor and sensational vistas, the City Club provides an extremely high level of service. You’ll receive the same respect and attention bestowed on club members, and as much handholding as you need. Every aspect of your special event can be customized, from the menu to party props. Past weddings have included a jungle theme and a Chinese marriage with a dragon dance.
Of course, the food at the City Club is also a top priority. The executive chef has traveled to many other clubs around the world, lending his expertise to them. He can accommodate virtually any menu request, whether it’s a gourmet continental dish or a favor-ite family recipe. The fact that everyone on the culinary team has been here since the club opened in 1989 is a testament to their dedication and consistency.
Everything about this venue is haute, from its 54th-floor location to its topnotch cuisine. So if you appreciate the finer things in life—not to mention some of the best views in Los Angeles—then host your celebration at the City Club on Bunker Hill.
