The packages are priced at $10,000 or less, and are based on 150 guests. Event must occur by 12/31/14 on a Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, or anytime Sunday.
If you think golf clubs are haughty and pretentious, then you haven’t been to Brookside. Nestled in the picturesque arroyo next to Pasadena’s famed Rose Bowl, and surrounded by palm trees and two championship golf courses, this impeccably maintained golf club will enfold you in its warm hospitality. From its humble beginnings in 1920, Brookside has grown into one of Southern California’s most popular golf courses.
When you plan a special event at the completely renovated club, you have several distinctive options to choose from. The largest is the Mediterranean Room. Combining a clean, contemporary feel with Spanish details, it works equally well for weddings, fundraisers and corporate events. Recessed antiqued-brass chandeliers provide nighttime illumination, while sunshine streams in through glass walls during the day. One “wall” looks directly out onto a verdant golf course; another faces the adjacent patio with its panorama of emerald fairways in the background. Many couples exchange vows beneath a flower-festooned pergola on the patio, and then bring their guests inside for a seated reception.
Adjoining the Mediterranean Room is an inviting suite for the bride, outfitted with a vanity, comfortable couches and floral accents. There’s plenty of space for her entourage, and while they’re all preparing for the ceremony they’re fortified with champagne and hors d’oeuvres. This room also doubles as a lounge for guests who want a bit of private relaxation during the festivities.
Brookside Restaurant, in a separate location on the club’s grounds, is also extremely popular for receptions, rehearsal dinners and parties. Its centerpiece is a floor-to-ceiling, double-sided river rock fireplace that warms the entire space. Arched picture windows along two walls frame views of the manicured greens as well as the San Gabriel Mountains in the distance. The adjoining covered patio lets guests dine al fresco while savoring the beautiful surroundings.
Several other spaces at the club are perfect for smaller events like rehearsal dinners, business meetings, wedding showers or luncheons. Each one offers a unique ambiance: The Arroyo Room reflects Pasadena’s history with black & white photos from the turn of the century; the Madrid Room features floor-to-ceiling windows with wonderful views of the Rosemont Avenue hills; and the Rose Room showcases classic paintings that depict great moments from the Tournament of Roses. All of these spaces can be outfitted with a full range of audiovisual equipment.
Whether you want a casual celebration right on the golf course or a five-course gourmet banquet, you can bet that the Brookside family will treat you like one of their own.
CEREMONY CAPACITY: Outdoors, the Mediterranean Patio accommodates up to 250 seated guests. Indoors, the Mediterranean Room holds 300 seated guests.
EVENT/RECEPTION & MEETING CAPACITY: The Mediterranean Room holds 300 seated for dining, 400 for stand-up receptions, and 200 seated classroom-style. Seated capacities for other spaces are: the Brookside Restaurant, 150; the Arroyo Room, 80; the Madrid Room, 50; and the Rose Room, 40.
A nonrefundable deposit, which is applied to your food and beverage total, is required to reserve your date. The amount of the deposit varies, depending on how far in advance you book. Payment terms for the balance also vary, and may be arranged on an individual basis. Wedding packages start at $48/person. Tax, alcohol and service charge are additional. Food and beverage minimums may apply. Menus and packages can be customized to fit your needs and budget. Call for details.
