Questions and Answers
What 3 words best describe your work?
Our slogan is "Amazing Moments, Beautiful People, Incredible Images." But three words would be genuine, creative, and modern.
Why should someone hire you?
When you hire us you are getting the full package. We are invested in each of our couples and committed to making sure you love your wedding photos. We are professionals, experienced in all types of tricky lighting situations, and know the best angles to make you look amazing. We have photographed weddings from all different cultures and understand the nuances and traditions of many different types of weddings—and if it is a new venue, we will visit beforehand to make sure we know the best spots and any limitations ahead of time. We also send out formal portrait request forms before the wedding to make sure we get all of the important shots of your family. The day of the wedding you don't have to worry about tracking down Uncle Bob—we've got it covered!
What are the common misconceptions about your services?
People don't always understand that it is so much more than showing up for 8 hours on the day of the wedding and uploading files. We spend a lot of time before the wedding getting to know our clients, understanding their personalities and their interests and making those connections so that on the day of the wedding they are comfortable with us and the moments are real. We edit every single photo we deliver to our clients, spending hours perfecting them to look straight out of a magazine. We are constantly educating ourselves on new techniques and selecting only the best products out there to offer our clients.
What drew you to this field/how did you get started?
David has always enjoyed being a photographer and after planning our wedding back in 2007, Christina became interested in working in the wedding industry. After doing a few small weddings together and having a blast, we decided it was something to pursue. We love meeting other couples and weddings are such a happy time for everyone which makes it so much fun!
What makes a wedding memorable for you?
We enjoy meeting people from all different backgrounds and cultures and seeing the different traditions. We love seeing other people in love and being able to capture and preserve the emotions for not only the bride and groom, but their families and friends.
What is the best advice you give a couple when planning their wedding?
Our advice is don't sweat the small stuff. Enjoy the planning process and don't get bogged down by the tiny details. Years from now you won't be thinking about which type of flower you used or what you served for dinner—you will remember the experience.
If you could have any superpower on the job, what would it be?
To be in more than one place at the same time! There are always so many fun moments and we don't want to miss capturing any of them.
What are 3 words that describe your personality?
Fun, dedicated, easy-going.
What's your favorite marriage advice?
We have been together since high school. Our advice is to be open and honest, remember that no one is perfect and forgive each other. Don't hold grudges, don't go to sleep angry. Make the most of each day together. Laugh together, be spontaneous, travel the world!
We love spending time with our two kids. We value experiences over possessions and love traveling and visiting new places. David enjoys mountain biking and playing soccer. Christina likes to go on long walks and jump on trampolines!
If you weren't in your current profession, what would you do instead?
David has a degree in International Business and worked as an analyst for Mazda before becoming a full time photographer. Christina has dual masters degrees in education and would probably still be teaching her special education elementary students.
What's your favorite way to wind down after a hard day?
Going out to dinner, going for a walk, and playing with the kids.
What are some of your favorite places to eat—either everyday spots or special occasion splurges?
We love to eat out and try new restaurants! David loves Japanese food while Christina would choose Italian or Mediterranean.
