Questions and Answers

What 3 words describe your work? Creative. Stylized. Fun.

Why should someone hire you? I strive to invest my time, energy and talent into capturing timeless and fleeting moments for my brides and grooms. I find satisfaction in being a "friend with a fancy camera" rather than merely a stranger who takes photographs. Creating and cultivating relationships? and ultimately trust, is the key ingredient for me to capturing relaxed, fun and moving images.

What drew you to this field/how did you get started? It's in the genes! My mom is an artist and from the beginning I was blessed with the ability to visualize and develop a style of what moved me. When I was 20, I began to realize that photography allowed me to capture my vision. Ultimately, photographing weddings allows me to combine my love of photography with my passion for people.

What are some of sources of inspiration or influences on your work? My mom is a source of inspiration; there are many photography peers that I admire, and?the ultimate creator, God.

Tell us about a favorite, unusual or most interesting moment at a wedding: One special moment comes to mind: The groom delivered a gift to his bride before the ceremony, (they weren't seeing each other prior), after he handed over the gift, he reached around the door and merely held hands with his bride. It was a touching, moving and loving moment.

Tell us about a wedding you worked on that really makes you proud: I photographed an incredibly fun wedding for a television show called "Married Away" on the Style Network. A good friend, Mary Dann was the featured coordinator on this wedding. It was such a fun and intimate wedding (at Chateau Fairmont at Lake Louise, Canada). Over 3 days with 40 people, you really get to know each other!

What have weddings have taught you? I've learned that weddings are as unique as the people involved?this is what I love best! As a wedding photographer, staying aware, flexible and collected is essential.

What is the best advice you give to a couple when planning their wedding? Prioritize right from the beginning. Decide what is the most important aspect of the wedding?such as the photography, venue, florist, gown, etc.?and base your budget accordingly.

What are 3 words that describe your personality? Witty. Sincere. Engaging.

What's your favorite book/movie/work of art? I'm addicted the TV shows: The Office & Lost.

What is your favorite quote? "Things may come to those who wait...but only the things left by those who hustle." ?Abraham Lincoln

Extracurricular Activities: Golf, golf, golf... I'm an addict to the extreme. I love basketball, baseball, hiking.. any sport really. Of course, photography is still a hobby for me too :)

What's your favorite way to wind down after a hard day? I love spending "romp" time with my two young sons, Jaden & Maddy.

About This Company

Take one look at the wedding photos from Epic Imagery and you will certainly be swept off your feet. Photographer Danny Baker’s passion is people, and he’s clearly a master at capturing the energy and emotion that connects every one of us.

It’s no wonder clients are head over heels for this talented professional and his team. Inspired early on by his mother’s artistry, he explains that, even though his focus was sports, he always had an eye for art, architecture, fashion and beauty. Later on, a master-apprentice relationship with a photographer turned a natural affinity into a well-developed craft. “Photography is what I’m meant to do,” says Danny. I’m carried away by the work. I pour everything into finding the beauty of an event and providing a commentary on joy and celebration.”

And it shows—not just in his photos, which draw torrents of praise from clients, but in the graceful and generous way Danny handles every task. “Everybody loves him, just everyone,” says a colleague. “His images are fabulous. We’ve been working on an upcoming wedding and every time he calls, I’m happy all day long—he just leaves a big old smile on your face!” Brides agree. “I’ve been a bridesmaid in six weddings and part of numerous others,” recollects one of his client-fans. “I’ve never encountered a photographer that was as personable, attentive and fun as Danny. My wedding party felt like they were Hollywood movie stars, because we were having so much fun doing the photo shoots. Time flies when you’re with him. After our engagement session with Danny, my now-husband and I both walked away saying it was one of the most fun days we’ve ever had.”

High praise, but the ultimate proof is in the photos. Danny’s extraordinary and unexpected magazine-quality images sparkle with vitality. “Every photo reflects my clients,” he explains. “It’s all about them. The creative process is not formulaic. It’s complex and riddled with excitement. I’m building stories about life, and life is amazing—it’s epic!” His brilliance at documenting cherished moments and relationships may be why Danny’s clients stick with him from engagement to wedding to family photos, and why they’re eager to share him with family and friends.

“He’s a gem,” declares one of the many brides he’s photographed. “You can’t afford not to hire him!”

“I cannot say enough about how wonderful Danny is both personally and professionally,” adds another. “He is an amazing photographer, so creative, so personable and just so great to work with! He really takes the time to get to know you and what you want. Each of my bridesmaids has said that they’ve made it their goal to hire Danny when they get married—now all they need are the fiancés!”
