Want to see happy faces on your big day? Just make sure Courtney Corvan is doing your makeup. This Catalina Island, California native grew up in a world of celebrities. Trained by movie professionals who took her under their various wings, she quickly learned all the tricks of the trade. Today her clients include ABC, NBC, MTV, Fox TV, E! Entertainment Television, Style Channel, A&E and Marie Claire magazine to name a few. “She’s a miracle worker,” exclaims one top Hollywood star’s assistant. “She makes anything she touches a success.”
Courtney meets with clients months in advance of the main event. A licensed esthetician, she gives tips on skin care and on handling all the complexion stresses that come with big parties, plenty of guests and high visibility. Even people who are admittedly “not great with makeup” adore her. “I felt like she really took the time to find out what I wanted,” remembers a bride. “She made a lot of great suggestions and showed me colors that would work on me based on my skin tone and type.” “She’s fun, nice to work with, and her skills as a makeup artist are just phenomenal,” adds a wedding planner. “And she uses cruelty-free products—that’s one of the main reasons I like using Courtney for weddings.”
At her pre-wedding consultations brides often share photos of the gown and other images that suggest a style that they favor. Breezy and natural, smoky and dramatic, ingénue, starlet, or chic socialite—whether she’s airbrushing on a porcelain finish with fresh-looking, water-based foundations or adding subtle lash extensions, day or night, indoors or out, this calm professional can create the right look. “I can say with authority that she is by far one of the best,” raves a television actress who admires Courtney’s talents. “She does natural ‘barely-there’ makeup and also knows how to play it up and make it more dramatic. I wore several different makeup looks on the television show and she was always able to do something great. I never felt like it wasn’t ‘me’ shining through. I also love how she keeps up with what’s current—her products and colors are always relevant and never feel dated.” “And don’t forget: even the groom and his groomsmen need to look good for the camera,” reminds Courtney, whose male clients have included Matt Leblanc, Jason Alexander and Greg Kinnear. “I can take the shine down and even out skin tones for them, too.”
On the big day Courtney is on site to ensure that everyone is ready to literally face the music. “Courtney was very friendly, approachable and made me feel special and relaxed on my day,” recollects a bride. “She did my makeup as well as others in my wedding party and she was just great with the timeline and schedule. She never got behind or nervous. So many artists will sign up for doing an entire bridal party and then get freaked out because they run behind schedule. Courtney always had it under control and that was important to me.”
“Courtney knows how to accent physical beauty with her makeup,” says another bride. “At the same time she brings out a smile and confidence in her clients. That is rare to find in an artist. She takes pride in making her clients feel as lovely as they can be.”

“My makeup looked beautiful and natural all night—just how I wanted it. I felt like she really took the time to find out what I wanted and she made a lot of great suggestions and showed me colors that would work on me based on my skin tone and type. I’m not great with makeup, but she was very patient.”
“She’s very detail-oriented and she will not let you leave unless you’re looking perfect. She’s a perfectionist.”
“She was very friendly, approachable and made me feel special and relaxed on my day. I had her do my makeup as well as others in my wedding party and she was so great with the timeline and schedule. She never got behind or nervous which I think is so important.”
“She is so current on the latest products; she is also great and taking different products and blending them together to create a truly unique look.”
“All my favorite photos of myself are ones when she’s done my makeup. She’s great at bringing out the best in your face.”
“I’m an actress and worked with her on a daily basis on a television series. She is by far one of the best. She does natural, ‘barely-there’ makeup really well, and also knows how to play it up and make it more dramatic. She keeps up with what’s current—her products and colors were always relevant and never felt dated. When I was planning my wedding, it was a no-brainer to call Courtney and hire her for my big day. I was really so happy with how it looked in the flesh and in the photos—often it’s one or the other.”
“She is highly professional, her makeup always looks incredible and she has a talent/skill of knowing and doing as the person having makeup done would want done. There is no one I would recommend more than Courtney.”
“Courtney did a wonderful job on my makeup. I got soooo many compliments on it. Everyone thought I looked fabulous (and still like myself!).”
“My wedding was 3 weeks ago and I hired Courtney for both my own makeup and most of my bridal party. Not only did she do a phenomenal job with the makeup, all of my bridesmaids commented on how nice and fun it was to talk with her. She is just a sweet and friendly person! Our makeup was finished AHEAD of schedule, which put me at ease and gave me lots of time to get my hair done and be at the wedding venue with time to spare. Not only did she do a great job professionally, but having her there made the whole process of getting ready more enjoyable. Thanks Courtney!!!”(What does this mean?)
