Deborah, a certified events specialist with over ten years experience working as a bridal consultant in both Denver and Los Angeles, has a degree in Mass Communications and Musical Theatre from the University of Denver and certifications from Independent Wedding Consultants of America (IWCA) and Wilton Cake Decorating Advanced Course. Her expertise stems from a multifaceted background in merchandising and entertainment, including careers as a performer and producer in television, film and music. Deborah credits her ability to choreograph even highly complex special events to this varied background and to the considerable skills of her gifted associates. “We take a production approach,” explains Deborah. “Between us we have experience in event planning, interior design, catering and more. It’s our goal to make our clients feel like guests at their own celebrations.”
Apparently Deborah’s company achieves that goal. “They are breathtakingly responsible,” reports an admiring bride. “They have fantastic contacts,” adds a colleague. “They can pull things together on quick notice, take someone else’s vision and make it happen.” “Deborah does not micro-manage,” says another of the many industry professionals who love working with her. “You know you’re in good hands. She has everything under control without stress.” “She has wonderful radar and antennae that are always up,” says a bride. “She tuned into me, not just the event.”
Bella Vita Events is committed to going the distance for their clients—sometimes literally. With a planning proficiency that transcends place and time, Deborah and her staff have even been known to take the whole show on the road, like the “surprise” wedding they recently orchestrated in Kauai. The groom wanted to sweep his lady-love off her feet with a proposal and wedding all in one day. And with the help of Bella Vita Events, he did. The bride woke up to an invitation to her own wedding, which was scheduled for 4:30pm the same day. From the moment she opened her eyes everything went like clockwork: the marriage license, visits to three dress shops to select the gown, alterations, flowers. By 3:30 everyone, including 18 guests who’d been flown in and secluded in another hotel, was dressed and coordinated for a ceremony in a cabana on the beach and a sunset cruise reception. Behind the scenes Deborah and her team had prepared timelines and three different scenarios depending on the choices of the bride. In typically unassuming fashion, Deborah chalks it all up to her years in the entertainment industry. “I love it. My favorite thing is when my alarm clock rings on event day. Then ‘it’s show time,’” she says.
Between their passion and their talent, the result is pure poetry. “It was beautiful,” raves the happy groom. “Every flower petal was in place, every detail was covered. It can’t get any better than Bella Vita Events.”
