Why We Like Them

“Princess”…“Goddess”… Titles like these are stenciled in gold calligraphy above the dressing rooms at Camarillo Bridal, and it’s an indication of how well you’ll be treated you when you come to this shop looking for your wedding dress.

A local tradition for years, Camarillo Bridal has just moved to a spacious 7,200-square -foot store that is already attracting brides from Santa Barbara, L.A. and Orange County. We’re not surprised. Modern, feminine and welcoming, the design and layout of this pretty bridal boutique has been carefully thought out with the entire wedding party in mind.

First, there’s a suite of changing rooms for the bride, and several try-on areas with mirrors, a podium and couches for her admirers. A separate bridesmaid’s area and changing room block keeps your gal pals happy, while the Mothers of the Bride and Groom have their own section, too. Even the gentlemen have a place to hang out and choose their tuxes.

Most of the gorgeous gown options are moderately priced, with some downright bargains. Wedding dress designers like Maggie Sottero, David Tutera by Faviana, Jasmine Couture, Casablanca, the retro-chic Fancy New York and Alfred Angelo (who has a terrific plus-size bridal gown selection) are well-represented here. There are even adorable flower girl dresses!

Another thing that makes Camarillo Bridal special are the consultants. Experienced, understanding and knowledgeable, they take into consideration your personal style, body type and budget. When we visited, we were impressed by their fashion sense, and ability to suggest accessories and provide color swatches. Customers really appreciate how easy the consultants are to talk to, and that rather than being pushy, they help make the shopping experience stress-free.

“I love this salon,” one bride told us. “I’ll be back soon for a friend’s wedding!”
