Why We Like This Place

This luxuriously hip, five-star boutique hotel perfectly captures the breezy, laid-back essence of its seaside community. Shade’s super-convenient location at the edge of Metlox Plaza puts you just two blocks from the beach and steps away from a wide variety of shops and restaurants. As you walk through the hotel, the trappings of “cool” are everywhere, from the flower-filled vases that seem to float like magic in front of the mirrored wall in the lounge to the eye-catching cyclone fireplaces in many of the guestrooms. Accents such as handmade sea urchin chandeliers and an artful display of sea ferns are visual links to the nearby ocean.
