Background
As a warm-up for a career in catering, owner Sally Van Slyke first spent a number of years as an executive in the entertainment industry, including eight years as head of Marketing, Publicity and Promotion for Universal Pictures. She managed to take cooking and event design classes throughout the world during that time, and later decided to make the leap into catering. Given her background and her innate unflappability, Sally is particularly adept at event management and international cuisine. At Wild Thyme, she combines forces with chef Robert Corliss, who brings his many years of experience as Executive/Head Chef for many well-known Bay Area restaurants and with chef Julio Saca—clients rave about his authentic Oaxacan cuisine.

Along with their superb and varied cuisine, Wild Thyme Catering offers complete event planning for weddings, rehearsal dinners, brunches, and other social or corporate events. They’ll help with site location, all décor, lighting and props, entertainment, and permits. The folks at Wild Thyme also know many ways to manage a budget without sacrificing quality. Wild Thyme catering has neither corkage fees nor cake cutting fees. They are one of the few exclusive caterers serving the Brazilian Room.
