All agree that Jon’ette’s unflappable calm and her attention to brides’ and grooms’ moods and wishes are extraordinary. When the pressure is on she’s relaxed, comforting, and non-judgmental. She knows how to put even the inexperienced at ease. “Jon’ette is a great communicator,” reports one of her clients. ”She presented answers to questions we hadn’t even thought to ask. “Preparation is very important,” explains Jon’ette. “I was an athlete growing up and I come from a family of athletes. I see weddings as ‘game day.’” Her background in sports and focus on teamwork and performance also extends to the people she works with and the way she manages all of the players who contribute to the big day. It has earned her a national reputation. “I’ve seen her team put together some very detailed events that not only looked fabulous but were strong operationally, which is key,” says the sales director for a major convention center. “She is one of the most prompt, efficient, courteous, and accommodating wedding planners I work with, and I work with them all over the country,” adds a supplier.
For Jon’ette, the secret to success is versatility and diversity. She feels every bride and groom is entitled to the best possible wedding, and she loves putting the pieces together to make that dream a reality. The events she plans, simple or complex, are unique to each couple. They’re spectacular and creative, and they go off without a hitch. That’s enough to turn clients into friends and their satisfaction into the desire for an encore performance. “She is actually an honorary member of our family, says an East Coast bride who hired Jon’ette to plan her California wedding. “My sister is already set to hire her for her wedding; all she needs now is a boyfriend.”
