Blending rich textures, sensuous colors and impeccable details into a visual feast, Karen Axel’s floral designs are always unforgettable. Her ideas range from playful to opulent, and she’s a delight to work with, combining a relaxed, creative style with true professionalism. Says Karen: “I just need one tiny idea, a little spark, and I can create a whole wedding.”
Background
Karen discovered her passion almost by accident. Looking for a creative outlet while working in the computer industry, she happened upon a floral design course. This led to a Certificate in Floriculture and Design. She then became a member of the American Institute of Floral Designers, which was a three year process. Karen’s business took off rapidly — she has built a solid and happy client base with over 400 weddings since 1991. Tapestry is on the preferred vendor list for such prestigious locations as the Westin St. Francis, the Fairmont Hotel, Kohl Mansion, Fogarty Winery and more.

Tapestry provides complete floral and event design services ranging from romantic to whimsical. Karen has an incredible sense of color and helps you weave together all of the visual elements of your event: flowers, linens, chairs, plants, lighting, etc., to create your own unique statement.
Tapestry has a wide array of rentals, such as custom wrought iron arches, chuppahs, aisle candle stands, table props, the finest hand-blown glass bowls, rustic copper chalices and more. By only accepting a limited number of events per weekend, Tapestry ensures the highest quality and the utmost in personal service.
