Background
Sound In Motion was founded when two of Northern California’s top DJs (and childhood friends!) decided that they needed more DJs to handle the overflow of work that was coming their way.
“King Raffi” Nalvarian (of MIX 106.5) and Adrian Cavlan, 17-time Metro and Good Times reader poll winners as Best Club DJs in Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties, decided that the best way was to develop each new DJ by having them assist on countless events and complete a rigorous four-unit training program before ever doing their first event. This process would ensure their success right from the start.
Sound In Motion’s strong reputation industry-wide is testimony to the fact that these DJs have indeed put in the time and effort to excel, and with a robust organization to back them up, this company is certainly one that you can depend on to deliver.

All Sound In Motion’s DJs are fully insured employees, not independent contractors, which gives you the peace of mind you need on your wedding day. They provide a clean and compact setup, using only the highest quality equipment.
Sound In Motion’s all-inclusive wedding package includes your DJ / MC providing continuous music and wireless microphone service for your ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing.
During the comprehensive pre-planning phase, your DJ will focus on understanding the small details unique to your wedding. He (or she) will guide you through the musical selections available for your ceremony, ranging from the most traditional to totally unique; and for the reception, you’ll see their passion for music in the astonishingly comprehensive CD collection and their willingness to play your requests.
