Certified By The Guide Reviews
“Cheryl really goes the extra mile. I’ve seen that she’s consistently great. She’s creative and makes things that will work for the couple. She understands that it’s your way, not her way. She also has a more subtle, elegant touch to her products.”
“She took really good notes and listened to everything I said. If you had 5 stars, I’d give her 10.”
“We got lots of compliments on the final product. I kind of had an idea going in of what I wanted, based on what I’d seen online, and she gave me good suggestions and stayed within my price range. She’s a very outgoing and fun person and is very organized.”
“I already had an idea of what fonts and words we wanted to use, but once I gave her the ideas I did have, she really pulled it together. It all went very smoothly, she was very willing to seek out anything I wanted that she didn’t already have. She was also great at staying within my budget but keeping my ideas.”
“I refer brides to her because her prices are appropriate, she’s creative and comes up with great things, she’s very personable, and she gets along well with people. She’s always on time, and her turn-around is what you’d expect for custom-designed invitations. She’s extremely well-organized. I’ve learned tips from her on how to keep my head on!“
“Cheryl really knows her stuff. Cheryl was also very flexible and gave us good advice. She is very sweet and personable, and she’s also not very expensive, and she’s very reasonable. She’s very detail-oriented…very thorough. A lot of other wedding invitations look alike, and Cheryl offers good, unconventional, but not off the wall ideas, and they’re unique.”
About This Company
The “frog” in the company name refers to the days in Chicago when Cheryl Jablow was an exhibit marketing manager and marketing event coordinator in the corporate world. She produced collateral material for trade shows, designed corporate booths, and jumped about in her spare time, planning and hosting philanthropic events. Today Social Frog Designs, a business that specializes in beautiful high-quality custom correspondence as well as wedding and event consulting, still keeps Cheryl hopping. Whatever your needs—wedding, baby, birthday, bar and bat mitzvah, holiday, corporate; formal function, garden reception or destination wedding—Cheryl will create the communication package that suits the style of the function.
An expert in visual presentation, she studied fashion, design, and marketing in college before earning her degree. Later, as an international marketing manager, she traveled to Asia and Europe where she fell in love with fiber, textiles, and paper and all their colors, shapes and embellishments. “I looked into them in my down time,” Cheryl recollects with enthusiasm. Cheryl’s down time, one might suspect, would be full-on for anyone else.
Of course her tremendous energy helps in her work. Cheryl is tireless in the pursuit of her clients’ dreams. All of her creations are absolute masterpieces. Whether it’s engagement or save-the-date announcements, wedding invitations, ceremony programs, menu and beverage cards, escort cards, thank you notes, or more, she brings originality, artistry and a good deal of technical knowledge and ability to the fulfillment of her customers’ wishes. “Everything is completely hands-on,” she insists. Nothing is assembly line about the process. She sometimes utilizes a small and talented team, but she likes to take a personal role in production and really give couples her undivided attention. She might use broad satin ribbon, textured papers, buckles, brooches, silk or crystal butterflies, decorative boxes or a vast array of additional materials in achieving desired effects. “It’s a lot of work,” she admits, “but, for me, it’s also a lot of fun!”
“She’s a great spirit and she works within your budget,” confirms a past client. “Cheryl really knows her stuff. She’s sweet, personable, flexible, and she gave us great advice.” “She’s thorough and extremely detail oriented,” claims another. “Her work is truly unique.”
If you feel completely charmed by Cheryl’s artistry, she can also serve you creatively in other ways—from consulting to coordinating to other types of design. “It’s a boutique business,” declares Cheryl, who adds that she offers all-inclusive services, which she playfully calls the “full frog,” and à la carte services, which she calls her “lily pad offerings.” She is a professional comfortable with any and all aspects of the business who will take you from invitation to full wedding extravaganza, depending on your needs. “I really love seeing it all come together,” says Cheryl, who has been crazy about wedding planning ever since coordinating her own three-day destination wedding celebration. “Cheryl is highly creative,” confirms a wedding coordinator and officiant who thinks the world of her. “Her prices are fair and she really goes the extra mile. There’s an elegant touch to her products.”
