About This Company
Here are just some of the raves we heard about skyebean photography:
“Skye exceeded our expectations. She is truly gifted with a wonderful photojournalistic and artistic eye. She also captured all the little details, like the way the napkins were tied with bear grass. I honestly don’t think she missed a thing! Plus, she was such a pleasure to work with. She worked in an organized, efficient manner with our huge family and wedding party and let us enjoy our reception. I compare our pictures to other wedding pictures I’ve seen, and there’s just no contest. I feel so lucky that we found her.”
“Skye’s a keen observer, has a fabulous sense of humor and has a unique knack for capturing people on film. There are lots of good wedding photographers but few exceptional ones. Skye is exceptional.”
“After our wedding we were worried because we didn’t remember seeing her around very much. But when we came back from our honeymoon and saw all of the pictures we were very impressed. Not only did Skye capture everything we saw, she captured things we never saw and things that didn’t seem so important at the time. She was always in the right place at the right time.”
“You can see she loves what she does and cares about her clients tremendously. She’s at the top of her game.”
Background
Skye focused on fine art, commercial art and Political Science in college. Her intention to go to law school was sidelined when she picked up a camera and started taking photo classes. Combining her interests naturally led to work for a number of years as a photojournalist. Skye says she was then attracted to wedding photography because she found all the juicy elements and compelling subjects present that photojournalists look for: you have a real slice of life, ripe with beauty and all that emotion. Skye explains, “My heart is open and I am excited for the people involved in the wedding I’m photographing. People trust that, open to it, and end up showing me more of their true experience. The payoff for that shows in the work that I do-and that is priceless.”
Skye’s wedding photography has appeared a number of times in Wedding Pages magazine.
Services
Skye’s style is fine art/photojournalism, in both black & white and color film. Clients have ownership of the proofs and negatives, and also have their photos online through Pictage.com for a year, which allows friends and family to both view and order prints from anywhere. In addition to finished leather albums and albums made of Japanese fabric and Swiss ribbon in a variety of colors and textures, she also offers printed coffee table wedding albums.
