Why should someone hire you? I will help you realize your music vision for your wedding. We will plan the details together, within your budget, to create the best possible event, with outstanding results.

What are the common misconceptions about your services? Live Music vs. DJ questions are the most common. Both work very well. DJ’s offer infinite music possibilities and are usually less expensive. Musicians offer the energy and interaction of a live performance.

What drew you to this field/how did you get started? After years of performing in many wedding bands, I decided to pull together the very best musicians in the Bay Area to raise the bar of the wedding ensembles.

What are some of sources of inspiration or influences on your work? Most of our musicians have roots in the Jazz idiom. We love the big band sounds of Glen Miller/Tommy Dorsey, the horn bands of the 70’s and 80’s, and contemporary sounds of many of today’s artists.

Tell us about a favorite, unusual or most interesting moment at a wedding: Couples are becoming more creative with their entrances and first dances. We had a bride and groom start off their first dance with a traditional foxtrot then quickly segue into a pop tune bringing the wedding party—all completely choreographed.

Tell us about a wedding you worked on that really makes you proud: Every wedding is special. However, we often get hired by other musicians for their weddings, with a guest list filled with working musicians. We’re proud that we able to deliver with very positive feedback for these very musically savvy clients.

What have weddings have taught you? Often a wedding is the largest event a couple will ever host, logistically and financially. It is important to be more than a vendor, but rather a partner in the planning process.

What is the best advice you give to a couple when planning their wedding? Start the planning process early. Sweat the details up front so you can relax and enjoy your day. Trust that if course corrections are required during the event, your band leader/MC will be able to seamlessly adjust. Most of all: have fun!
