Founded over 30 years ago by renowned wedding photographer Russ Marsyla and located in Costa Mesa right next door to Mon Amie Bridal Salon, the studio is an easy choice for anyone in the market for a seasoned team of talented professionals committed to capturing every event beautifully and without a hitch.
“In addition to weddings we regularly handle everything from corporate receptions to holiday parties to conventions. If it’s photography or video, we do it,” says owner and manager Mike Steffens. Mike, who is also a Managing Partner and the Executive Talent Manager for Essence Entertainment, the largest entertainment agency in Orange County, has had years of experience producing major events, including shows for theme parks like Disneyland. Perhaps that explains his aura of calm and competence, and his ability to put even nervous brides and their coordinators at ease. A member of the Association of Bridal Consultants, he has also served on the board of the National Association of Catering Executives. “I take a very practical approach,” says Mike. He lets the artists handle the art, while he makes sure all else runs smoothly. He’s delighted with the continued success of Marsyla’s Photography and credits a dedicated, topnotch team with client satisfaction.
These days it’s award-winning photographer Stuart Naideth who’s behind the lens for the company. A past president of the Photographer’s Association of Southern California, Stuart has a long and impressive string of credentials that include work with celebrities, television, magazines and newspapers. “He’s a gifted professional who pays great attention to detail,” reports Mike. “And he’s amiable, unpretentious and fun.” Also on the team is Sandra Marsyla, who’s been handling the photography needs of Marsyla’s customers for decades. You couldn’t have a more competent or devoted studio manager than Sandra—Marsyla’s Photography is her husband’s legacy. She really cares.
At Marsyla’s Photography it’s all about care: care for the vision and goals of their clients, care with the final product. Consequently, there are no time limits on any of Marsyla’s Photography packages. They plan their entire day around clients’ needs.
