Background
“I love what I do. I feel very privileged to be a part of my clients’ lives,” says Kay Wolff, the principal designer behind Making Arrangements. Kay’s passion for what she does and her commitment to her clients is obvious when you see the richness of her work.
Kay Wolff’s designs have a depth derived from her extensive study of both European and Japanese styles of floral design. Kay’s long and continuing studies of the dramatic Japanese Sogetsu Ikebana design style have put her at a teacher level herself. In addition, while at City College and her later advanced study with a very accomplished European master designer, Kay immersed herself in contemporary and traditional Western styles. Engagement with both schools of design gives Kay the versatility to respond innovatively to the unique wishes of each couple. Whatever the style, the hallmarks of Kay’s work are in her astute use of color and texture and in the care that she bestows on each creation.
As an Accredited Member of AIFD and a California Certified Florist, Kay is committed to ongoing study and the promotion of excellence within the industry.
Services
Making Arrangements provides bridal and attendant’s bouquets, ceremony flowers, centerpieces, corsages and boutonnieres on a custom basis in their floral design studio. Designs are also available for engagement celebrations and rehearsal dinner.
Kay Wolff does not have pre-set packages; rather she works with each couple to determine what can be done within their budget. Kay prefers to use seasonal flowers from California growers whenever possible.
Corporate and private design services are also available.
