Background

Jennifer French didn’t set out to be a floral designer. Her first career was as a commercial photo stylist, but when a friend asked her to help create unique flowers for her wedding, she realized she had tapped into her passion.

While some of the accounts she worked on as a set/prop stylist (like for Starbucks and Wired magazine) might seem unrelated to weddings, her previous career serves her quite well—not only does she still rely on her sense of color and style, but “she knows what looks good on film and what doesn’t,” as one photographer told us. Jennifer believes “that is so important because when all is said and done, the photos become the event.”

Another photographer observes, “Her arrangements have a natural and creative flair. As a photographer, I look at flowers very closely while I photograph them. Jennifer is meticulous in her selections, arrangements and delivery. The flowers are never bruised, wilted or with brown edges. They are always fresh and vibrant looking.”
