Background

Partners in life and business, Lucie and Sam Silveira created LucieXYZ Photography to be the kind of photography company that they would want if they were to get married again—that is, photographers who artistically capture the couple’s love and all the little moments and details that make each wedding uniquely wonderful—all while keeping their approach friendly and lighthearted. “Music for your eyes” is the way Lucie thinks of her work.

Principal photographer Lucie grew up in the Czech Republic with a love of travel and photography. After living for a while in Scotland, she studied professional photography at the New York Institute of Photography and a then at DeAnza College in Cupertino. Sam, a California native, also studied photography at DeAnza College. Sam is the second shooter and Lucie’s assistant at LucieXYZ, but Sam’s passion for the outdoors has led him all over the U.S. as a writer and photographer in his own right covering rock crawling events.

LucieXYZ’s albums and photos have garnered numerous awards from the PPGBA, the Professional Photographers of the Greater Bay Area, [http://www.ppgba.org], the WPPI, Wedding and Portrait Photographers International [http://www.wppionline.com/] and her work has been published in Destination Weddings & Honeymoons.

Services

LucieXYZ works with digital equipment that allows them to work fast without the need of changing film and to take an almost unlimited number of images. After the wedding, Lucie can turn your photos into black & white, sepia or add some other special effects, depending on your preferences. She will also design layouts for an album of your choice.

LucieXYZ includes a DVD with high-resolution images, online viewing/ordering and your choice of proofing option. Custom-designed albums and engagement sessions are also available.

Lucie and Sam welcome bookings for destination weddings.
