About This Company
The mother/daughter duo of Diane Levine and Alyson Fox are not only great friends, but together they’ve turned event coordination into an art. According to their peers, “Diane and Alyson, are great! Unbelievable! They are so talented—they have amazing ideas and do things that are really different. And they’re the nicest, sweetest, most down-to-earth gals.” Both women share a passion for beauty, innovation and detail that puts them “among the top people in their field.” And both had plenty of experience before they decided to join forces: Diane spent 12 years as an interior designer and 4 years as head coordinator for one of L.A’s top event design and production companies; Alyson planned private parties and charity events.
They are continually seeking out new and imaginative ways to design wedding decor. “We research ideas from all sorts of resources,” says Alyson. “Then we translate these ideas into a tangible form with our own special touches and twists. Details are definitely our strength. It’s common to hear our clients’ guests comment on how each and every detail was presented so beautifully, and that not one item was overlooked.”
Although they handle all types of events, their greatest love is weddings. “We enjoy doing the whole range of weddings, from simple and elegant to the most elaborate,” says Diane. “Whether a bride has a clear picture of what she wants or is starting from scratch, we’ll work with her over several meetings to get a final vision.” And their “visions” are known throughout the industry. “They come up with things that I have never seen,” swears a Catering Director from an upscale hotel. “Their weddings are probably the most gorgeous ones that we have—people walk in and just say wow’ because their work is so striking.” For a recent destination wedding, Levine Fox created an indoor setting equivalent to an elaborate, formal European garden. The garden included a hedged perimeter, a gated and arched entry, fifteen-foot tall trees and elaborate floral displays. Dramatic lighting, including lacy leaf projections, accented the walls and dance floor.
Making an event look spectacular is not their only forte. “We’re into the organization of an event as much as the decor,” says Diane. “We make sure that everything is planned to the last detail, that the bride and groom and all the vendors know what’s coming next. Catering managers often tell us that our timelines are the most precise and detailed that they’ve seen.” They also relate really well to the bride and her mom because they’re from the same respective generations. “Alyson knows what’s new and upcoming in design, what’s in style. It’s very easy for her to connect with the bride, and they often become friends,” says Diane. “The bride’s mom is also glad to have someone who understands her perspective,” adds Alyson. “We often feel so connected with our clients that we stay in touch with them for years.”
“Levine Fox is one of the few coordinators that have it all together and really take good care of their clients. They have a certain class about them,” says one industry professional. And even if you’ve just hired them to do organization during the rehearsal and on the day of, don’t be surprised if they provide more help than you expected. “We’ll suggest little extras that aren’t that costly but add so much to the look of the wedding,” says Diane. “We try to contribute something unique to every event.”
