His photography says it all. Clients call his work beautiful, magical and artistic, but you won’t get any hype from this talented professional. He’s totally focused on the job at hand, in capturing the moment and creating what he calls “flow.” And by all accounts he achieves this. He has a reputation for sensitivity, and a zen-like, eye-of-the-hurricane calm that is evident on the big day and in the way he manages to stop time and freeze precious memories with his images. “Glen is punctual and prepared,” says a catering manager who loves working with him. “He always has a smile on his face and he really listens to what the bride and groom want.” “His professionalism is first rate and his portfolio is stunning,” confirms another colleague. “Glen keeps everyone laughing. He’s so pleasant to be around he actually enhances a party!”
“Experience has taught me not to force things,” explains Glen, who opened his business in 1998 after collaborating with another photographer for several years. “I look for great expressions, gestures, emotionthe interactions of the bride and family, animation, body languagethe way a couple might be touching, the look in the groom’s eyes.” He says he’s comfortable with surprises, and knows there can be magic in the unexpected. Perhaps that’s what accounts for the dreamy quality of his work. While he’s comfortable with traditional styles, Glen is known for his expertise in photojournalism and his images read like stories. There’s no denying they are full of a soft intensity and romance. Add to this a quiet focus on perfection, which he claims is a byproduct of his background as a recording engineer on high-profile albums by major artists. He’s a stickler for organization and has a natural affinity for things technical and inventive.
But what is most appealing about this photographer is his devotion to his customers and his sincerity. Where some studios might over-promise and under-deliver, he is inclined to do just the opposite. “Having a strong work ethic is very important to me and so is trust. I want to be someone who can be counted on,” says Glen. “I’m very clear on how important the wedding day is. You don’t get a second chance.”

Glen is passionate about documenting events in a way that takes his clients’ breath away. “My wife thinks I’m a romantic,” he admits. “I have a picture of a bride walking up the aisle with her father, who has tears in his eyes. It’s a close-up. I love the image. I love what it says. Now that I’m a father I have a whole new appreciation for that. I know just what it means.”
