Background
In the early 70’s, Ralf Nielsen and his wife Shari were inspired by Ralf’s Danish grandfather and uncle—both bakers—to move to Denmark to learn the bakery trade. When they returned to California, they opened Copenhagen Bakery & Cafe with Ralf’s brother Ben. Over the years, they have became well known in the Bay Area not only for delicious Danish and Scandinavian specialties (hello, Princess Cake!) but also for their exquisite custom-made wedding cakes, special occasion cakes, and a wide range of scrumptious baked goods.

Copenhagen offers a broad selection of wedding cake flavors and styles, from traditional to innovative, and happily works with you to customize your cake. Be sure to check out their extensive online wedding cake photo gallery. Or, consider going with a Copenhagen dessert buffet, individual desserts or cupcakes. Wedding favors are also available—such as custom-decorated petits fours or cookies with imprinted photos of the couple.
