Take a moment to peruse the vast array of wedding photos on Christopher Glenn’s website and you’ll be struck by the natural and exuberant expressions of his subjects. And it’s no wonder they look so happy—Christopher is a lot of fun, and amazingly quick-witted! One of the best things about his website is that he gives you a series of photos from many weddings to look at, instead of a limited, handpicked selection. That way you’ll see weddings with a wide variety of couples and styles. “Many of our brides have told us how much they appreciated being able to browse through so many samples,” says Christopher.
In addition to his enthusiasm—which is contagious—Christopher brings a refreshing creativity to his craft. He’s committed to taking both carefully lit posed shots where the bridal party look their absolute best, and candid photos that encapsulate the true spirit of the celebration. “We were thrilled with how many spontaneous, unique pictures he took. Our favorite image was of the entire wedding party, laughing as we walked down a busy street,” recalls one bride. “Part of what makes this job so rewarding is that I get to help everyone through the events of the day—the ceremony, the first dance, the cake cutting—and really make the whole experience even more fun for them,” Christopher adds. Fortunately, this professional demonstrates leadership with a light touch. “He can take charge in a way that makes the bridal party feel very secure, without ever being heavy handed,” attests one event coordinator.
After being on Ventura Boulevard for seventeen years, Christopher’s studio is in a beautiful rambling home in Woodland Hills. It has been set up exclusively as a photography studio, but it has the warm feeling of a private residence. “I find that the clients enjoy the atmosphere so much that they don’t want to leave,” Christopher says with a smile. Part of that atmosphere is actually outdoors, where a lovely garden provides the perfect backdrop for engagement photos and portraiture.
He may have been doing this for over two decades, but Christopher embraces all that modern technology has to offer in order to better accommodate his clients. His work is l00% digital, and he employs state-of-the-art techniques to create truly original wedding albums. “I set up a design appointment with each couple to build their album page by page. Images can be modified, combined, overlapped; borders and backgrounds can be customized. I pull out all the stops to give them something exceptional,” Christopher promises. He also single-handedly runs his website to ensure that a selection of photos is always posted within one week of the big day. That way, newlyweds can relive the event before they’ve even come home from their honeymoon, and so can everyone else.
