Background
Camilla Svensson Burns is an internationally renowned designer whose taste ranges from whimsical flamboyance to understated elegance to cutting edge couture. Born in Sweden, and brought up in Brazil, South Africa and London, Camilla’s international upbringing has contributed to here sense of design and personal style. Her art and design training is backed up with a solidly practical history of working at and owning flower shops, but it is her fresh, organic approach that enhances the beauty of her designs and separates her work from others.
The stylish Your Wedding Day magazine taps her sensibility and skills to design something sensational in almost every issue—no surprise, considering her inspired use of interesting flowers, fine ribbons, fruit and other non-traditional materials. Her designs have also been seen in Grace Ormonde’s Wedding Style magazine.
Camilla manages to delight her clients by translating their visions in ways that are both unexpected and yet hit the exact notes they aspired to achieve. As one bride told us, “the best part about working with Camilla was her creativity. The types of flowers she used (many I had never seen before) and the colors that she put together were truly amazing. She added so many different little surprises in the flowers, like fern curls and unique orchids, we were blown away.”
