She’s orchestrated floral design and décor at a myriad of San Francisco Bay Area locations—classic churches, private homes and estates, historic mansions, and wineries. Be it a small and intimate affair or a grand scale, over-the-top celebration, Leighsa threads the design concept with specialty linens, compelling lighting, seasonal plants, unique vases, props and furniture. A seamless custom event design is her objective and focus; continuity of the theme is paramount.

What three words describe your work? Textural, conversational, provocative.

Why should someone hire you? I am an active listener. I guide people through their ideas into perspective and work to help them turn their vision in to reality. I provide the highest quality florals, and have inside myself integrity, focus, and unlimited imagination.

What are the common misconceptions about your services? That we do only floral design…we are an event design company providing all elements of décor for the wedding day. This is not just about flowers it is about the whole design concept.

What is the best advice you give to a couple when planning their wedding? Go on outings together…truly enjoy your engagement during this planning time. Breathe through it and have fun with the details.

If you could have any superpower on the job, what would it be? To be able to clean up my studio at the speed of light! Most people don’t realize that when doing floral design things can get messy.

What are three words that describe your personality? Imaginative, collaborative, happy.

What’s your favorite marriage advice? Laugh and cherish each other…everyday.

What have weddings taught you? The ability, as my husband says, “to exhibit grace under pressure.”

What’s your favorite way to wind down after a hard day? Talking with my husband Ronnie and having him cook (he always does); Kissing and petting our beautiful English Bulldog, Lola…

Leighsa Montrose has long been inspired by accomplished world-renowned floral masters and mentors in her formal floral education in florticulture and design. She has dedicated herself to the development of her craft, winning numerous awards and accolades for her floral artistry and event designs. In 1996 she was inducted into the prestigious American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) which is an organization committed to excellence in floral design, professionalism and education.
