About This Company
The Bill Travis Swing Orchestra (BTSO) is a fun group that can cover your ceremony, cocktail reception, dinner, and dancing needs. They’ll provide whatever you request—a solo piano, jazz trio, 5-piece swing band, their GrooveWest Variety Band or their spectacular 18-piece Big Band, always customizing the music to your event.
Although BTSO is best known for their excellence as a Swing/Big Band Orchestra, their repertoire is much more extensive. They can begin the night with some great jazz for dinner, follow with some Swing music, and keep the crowd dancing with exceptional rhythm and blues, interspersed with some ballads, standards, salsa, tangos, waltzes, jump and jive, a little rock, and klezmer music, too. Singers are available, as is a Swing Dance instructor—a nice twist to your celebration!
BTSO’s band members have performed with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Mel Torme, The Fifth Dimension, Dianne Carroll and many more famous artists.
