About This Company

Specializing in custom cakes and chocolates, owner Kay Dillon delivers exceptional personal service, masters level baking and superlative design artistry. Personal tastings, complete with soft music and fine china, are a special treat.
Background
Kay studied Nutritional Sciences at U.C. Berkeley and completed the Baking and Pastry Program at the California Culinary Academy. She honed her skills at a number of restaurants and bakeries including Le Chantilly and the Chocolate Argonaut. She continues to study under notable masters of cake artistry, including Colette Peters. Kay teaches classes in chocolatiering and cake decorating at a Bay Area Pastry School.
Services
Kay’s chocolate truffles make excellent favors. They are hand-dipped using the finest Belgian chocolate, with centers that are natural infusions of fresh ginger, orange, lemon, Earl Grey tea or espresso. Other flavors are toasted walnut, hazelnut praline, passion fruit or raspberry. All are decorated differently with, for example, candied orange peel, crystalized ginger or gold dust. Prices range $1.25/each to $4 for a box of two. Kay can wrap them beautifully, or give them to you for you to package, to lower the price. Imprinting is also available.
Kay also does incredible 3-D molded chocolates in interesting and theme-related shapes like cable cars or the Golden Gate Bridge. Prices for these treats range $2-4/each.
