Certified By The Guide Reviews

“Elizabeth did a masterful job. The stakes are high, both monetarily and emotionally, when planning a wedding and you really need a voice of experienced reason to help wade through all the possibilities. I cannot imagine what we would have done without Elizabeth!”

“I was very skeptical about why we would need a wedding coordinator. I was completely wrong! Elizabeth saved us money by negotiating with vendors. We could not have handled the logistics of a destination wedding if we hadn’t had her skillful management. I am so happy that we hired Elizabeth.”

“Elizabeth is up for anything. She didn’t judge us for wanting something offbeat for our big day.”

“Elizabeth runs her events with a calm, effortless energy that resonates throughout the event—from her vendors, to her clients, to their guests.”

“My husband and I enjoyed every moment of our wedding and I attribute that to Elizabeth.”

“Elizabeth is truly an innovative problem solver.”

“Her corporate event planning background has armed her with strong logistic and budget planning skills which appeals to grooms. She is very realistic and professional.”

About This Company

What 3 words describe your work? Organized, creative and professional.

What are the common misconceptions about your services? Many people think that a planner, whether for a wedding or a special event, is a luxury—a want and not a need. A planner provides an army of quality vendors. A planner provides organization during what can be a chaotic time. A planner anticipates problems and is ready with a variety of solutions. A planner allows for the bride and groom, along with their families and friends, the opportunity to relax and enjoy their special day. A planner is priceless.

Tell us about a favorite, unusual or most interesting moment at a wedding: A few years ago, I coordinated a wedding with the reception at a bowling alley, where my clients had their first date. It was fabulous! There were assigned lanes instead of assigned seating. Socks with the couple’s initials were given to the guests to wear with their bowling shoes (the female guests loved this detail since they were able to remove their high-heeled dress shoes and put on something a little more comfortable). The menu consisted of comfy gourmet food that was displayed on tables of festive linens with non-traditional floral arrangements. Everyone enjoyed the fun and informal feel of the reception….a true reflection of the personalities of the bride and groom.

What have weddings taught you? Weddings have taught me a lot about listening. Often times, clients have a very challenging time articulating their vision and needs. Listening is not only about what they are saying, but what they are not saying and helping them find their voice.

What are 3 words that describe your personality? Adventurous, silly and kind.

What is your favorite quote? “Dare to live the life you have dreamed for yourself. Go forward and make your dreams come true.”— Ralph Waldo Emerson

What’s your favorite marriage advice? My father is an Episcopal Bishop. He provides counseling to couples prior to their wedding. One of the pieces of advice he provides them is to be gentle with each other. I carry that piece of advice with me as well as pass it along to my clients. There will be challenging times during the years to come, so be gentle with each other because you are in it together.

Do you keep in touch with your past clients? Many of my past clients have sent me birth announcements. It reminds me of that personal connection, which I truly value. On my end, I send anniversary cards to my past clients.
