As you make the scenic drive towards Meadow Vista, less than an hour north of Sacramento, you’re invigorated by the crisp, clean air of the Sierra Nevadas. Your destination, the Winchester Country Club, lies at the top of a majestic ascent lined with towering evergreens. This meticulously maintained venue boasts a rustic-meets-modern aesthetic, evoking both the homey warmth of the country and contemporary elegance.

The award-winning Clubhouse is situated on its own promontory, and at 32,000 square feet is spacious and impressive. Fashioned of dark wood and cut stone, its exterior resembles a forest lodge; yet, within you’ll find a sophisticated lobby, decked in marble and intricate wood inlays that echo the forested environs. Constructed in 2004 with large events in mind, Winchester offers a view-filled ceremony site and three reception options. At the rear of the Clubhouse, a broad stone deck features a ramp that sweeps down onto a velvety lawn called the Ceremony Green. Guests seated in white chairs can easily follow your graceful descent as you make your grand entrance. They’ll be even more captivated as they witness your exchange of vows against a breathtaking panorama of nature: thickets of pine trees and rolling hills silhouetted against a vast blue sky.

After the ceremony, explore the grounds for memorable photo ops while your guests retreat inside to the Clubhouse Lounge for the cocktail hour. Traditional wood paneling and a stately bar lend a sense of occasion, and the views—fit for a coffee-table book—put everyone at ease. The Lounge adjoins the beautiful Main Dining Room, where a wall of windows takes in the treelined fairways and the stunning Sierra Foothills. Patios on either side of the Dining Room invite guests to mingle in the mountain air and watch the stars as they fill the evening sky.

If you’re looking to imprint your own style on a space, opt for the Upstairs Banquet Room. Here, coffered ceilings and a neutral palette will harmonize with whatever décor you choose. For an ethereal, romantic effect, simply drape tulle and fairy lights across the high ceilings. Lofty multipaned windows look out across feathery treetops, adding to the banquet room’s allure.

Prefer to party in the great outdoors? Celebrate on the Clubhouse Deck overlooking the picturesque Ceremony Green. It’ll accommodate up to 400 of your nearest and dearest, and all or part of the deck can be elegantly tented, complete with chandeliers and canopy-style ceiling swags. A short path leads to a sheltered dance floor patio that’s visible from the deck so guests can watch the dancing without leaving their seats.

Winchester is the kind of place that encourages you to indulge your wedding fantasies: As a grand finale, one adventurous couple led their surprised guests to the driving range and made their getaway by helicopter!

This facility’s event professionals take pride in their wedding packages, which include separate dressing suites for the bride and groom, the ceremony site, and complimentary amenities like the cake cutting and champagne toast. The on-site coordinator will also gladly assist with vendor referrals and your day-of needs.

CEREMONY CAPACITY: The site holds 200 seated guests indoors, and 400 seated outdoors. EVENT/RECEPTION & MEETING CAPACITY: The facility accomodates 150 seated or 200 standing indoors and 375 seated or 500 standing outdoors.

Fees & Deposits

25% of the estimated event cost is required to reserve your date, and the balance is due 10 days prior to the event. Customizable packages start at $102/person and include the facility fee, tax and service charge.
