Why We Like This Place
Waterfowl often swim with their offspring in the small lake between the wedding gazebo and the 9th-island green. A 50-year-old weeping willow growing at the water’s edge frames the tranquil scene. At San Ramon Golf Club, romantic settings like this are as much a part of the landscape as the fairways and surrounding foothills.
Over the years the ranch-style clubhouse has transformed into a popular banquet and wedding facility. A recent renovation has given this property a fresh look, with new paint and décor throughout, recessed lighting and a completely refurbished bar. Of special interest to brides are the floor-to-ceiling mirrors in what the club boasts is “the largest bridal dressing room in Contra Costa County.” Cherubic angels adorn the vanity and an antique French armoire, while potted plants and a Goddess of Love water fountain add to the charming atmosphere of the space.
Almost all wedding ceremonies at the club take place on the lawn outside the reception hall. On a sunny day the weeping willow casts a cooling shadow across the grass, providing plenty of shade for your guests. Evening affairs are even more enchanting, with the lights from the white gazebo reflecting off the lake. When the ceremony begins, the bride appears at the French double doors of the Wedgewood Room and then walks along the curving path to her groom. Because weddings are held year-round, the club is always ready with an alternative indoor site. Should rain clouds appear at the last minute, the staff will open a room adjoining the reception hall. With a fire crackling in the brick fireplace the setting becomes quite cozy.
Receptions take place in the Wedgewood Room, brightened by a bank of windows overlooking the lake and golf course. The tinted windows afford complete privacy while allowing everyone to enjoy the view. The patio between the building and lawn is a lovely spot to serve appetizers—guests can sit at umbrella-shaded tables or stroll along the bank to watch the swans, herons, turtles and other wildlife.
Wedgewood Wedding and Banquet Center operates many facilities throughout the state, and is known for their all-inclusive wedding packages. When you book your wedding here almost everything can be covered: food, beverages, DJ, cake, flowers and invitations. The folks at Wedgewood focus on delivering value and service, and pride themselves on taking care of all your needs. The club also offers conveniences you might not expect to find at a privately owned facility, such as an 18-hole golf course open to the public, plenty of parking, and an entire building reserved just for your event. Fees & Deposits
25% of the estimated event total is required to reserve your date, another 25% is due 90 days prior and the balance is due 10 days prior to the event. Meals range $25–40/person. Tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional. There are no room rental fees as long as certain food and beverage minimums are met.
