It all begins at the lobby level, where the eclectic and electric mix of iconic design and contemporary luxury that characterizes W Hotels worldwide is immediately apparent. Arranged more like a home than a lobby, W’s capacious Living Room brings suggestions of the cityscape and the artsy SF MOMA ambiance indoors in the sophisticated use of black and gray, the silvery and neon accents, and lighting that transitions naturally from day to night. This clubby, lounge-like setting with its chic metal-and-glass fireplace and racy black bar is a guaranteed ice-breaker, so start the party with a DJ and cocktails here…or use the restaurant, TRACE, with its focus on sustainability and innovation, for cocktails and dining. An outdoor lounge area further extends the ground-floor possibilities.

But don’t stop here. A swift ascent by stair or elevator will take you to the next dazzling level—the mezzanine-style floor that overlooks the Living Room. A delicate fiber-optic chandelier waterfalls from the third-floor ceiling down through both spaces tying them together. In the Upstairs Drink Boutique, your guests can sip cocktails while watching the scene below. The long, all white LED-lit bar is a showstopper.
