Why We Like This Place

Club Los Meganos at Trilogy at The Vineyards, which debuted in the summer of 2010, is, quite simply, spectacular. Even the drive up to the venue is a pleasure, as you pass olive groves, stately Italian cypress trees and a profusion of white roses and bright flowers. When you arrive at the club, situated just above a series of gentle hills neatly planted with grapevines, you sense that this place is something special.

The 34,000-square-foot club devotes an entire wing specifically to events: the Mount Diablo Events Center, named for the well-known peak visible from almost everywhere on the property. Interior spaces throughout are beautifully designed and incorporate rich woods, natural stone and sweeping expanses of glass in a way that’s reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright. Outdoors, there’s a nod to Mediterranean influences like the circular stone plaza, the tiered terracotta fountain and, of course, the surrounding landscape itself.

Ceremonies are held on the Event Promenade, a sprawling, lush lawn that features unobstructed views of the nearby hills in the foreground and Mount Diablo in the distance.

Serve cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the Promenade, or indoors in the Reception Foyer. Here, as throughout the club, there’s a masterful blend of contemporary design with an underlying homage to the Miwok tribe who once called this area home. A display case with Native American artifacts sits on one wall of this bright, airy space, while a modern painting of an Indian and vibrant turquoise pottery also capture your attention. Glass “NanaWalls,” which reveal a spacious patio overlooking the gardens and water features, quickly fold away creating seamless access to the outdoors.

Dinner and dancing take place in the event center’s versatile ballroom. Designed with a high, coffered ceiling and decorated in soothing shades of cocoa, cream and muted sky blue, the room has a sophisticated look. There’s a view of Mount Diablo through more folding glass doors that open to the Promenade, creating a wonderful indoor-outdoor flow. A state-of-the-art A/V system with drop-down screens and a gleaming wooden dance floor set the stage for a lively party.

For a unique rehearsal dinner or bridal shower, check out the Culinary Studio, a dream kitchen/dining room where you have an opportunity to observe the chef in action, perhaps whipping up a special menu using ingredients from local orchards. Or, you can relax outside on the adjoining private patio/herb garden with a glass of vino from the on-site wine cellar.

As if all this weren’t enticing enough, both the bride and groom get to prepare for the day in the Hii/Kome Room, outfitted with full-length mirrors, a poker table, Wii games and movies.

Fees & Deposits

A $1,000 deposit is required to reserve your date and the balance of the estimated event total is due 30 days prior to the event. Rental fees range $750–7,000 depending on the guest count, time of year and day of the week. Meals start at $34/person. Tax, alcohol and service charge are additional.
