Why We Like This Place

Set atop a gentle rise, the clubhouse at Round Hill Country Club presides over a sun-dappled golf course amidst the rolling hills of the exclusive community of Alamo. Conveniently located and secluded, the venue has been a favorite site for social and corporate events for decades. And although this is a private club, its beautiful facilities are available to nonmembers.

With four distinctly different interior event areas, an expansive patio and a Wedding Terrace, Round Hill offers many options for choreographing your celebration. Another plus are their in-house Event Directors, who will help you organize all the details. Flexibility is key at the club, and they rarely say “no” to requests.

Couples usually exchange vows outdoors on the Wedding Terrace, an intimate space that seems to embrace everyone in it. Umbrellas can be provided to shade guests from the sun, but they’ll still have a clear view of the postcard-perfect backdrop: the 18th green and the picturesque Alamo hills.

Formal affairs are often held in the Vista Ballroom, adorned with mirrors that enhance the feeling of spaciousness. A series of arched windows look out onto the Breezeway, a light-filled prefunction space that extends the entire length of the ballroom. As friends and family mingle over cocktails here, they have a view of the outdoor pool area. In the adjoining Living Room, guests can take a break from the festivities by relaxing on comfortable sofas in a homey atmosphere. These three areas work extremely well together, and create a wonderful flow to an event.

For something less formal but equally appealing, consider the casual elegance of the Fairway Grill & Lounge. Dining is hosted in the Grill, designed with an exceptionally high, open-beamed ceiling outfitted with polished brass chandeliers. On one side of the room, a fire blazing in the cast stone fireplace lends a cozy warmth, while on the other side floor-to-ceiling windows overlook manicured golf greens and the Fairway Patio. The Lounge, with its built-in bar, is also where the dance floor is set up. Guests appreciate the easy access from the Grill & Lounge to the patio, which serves as a lovely spot for dining overflow or al fresco cocktails.

The President’s Room is ideal for small events and is often used in combination with the Ballroom and/or the Grill & Lounge. It’s popular for rehearsal dinners and anniversary parties—some groups have even used it for a casino games evening! When the weather turns cool, it also doubles as an indoor ceremony site.

Hosting your event at Round Hill is like inviting guests to enjoy your own private villa. For the day at least, they can indulge in the privileges and amenities of this prestigious country club.

CEREMONY CAPACITY: The President’s Room holds 200 seated guests. The outdoor wedding site accommodates 200 guests

EVENT/RECEPTION CAPACITY: The Vista Ballroom accommodates 300 seated or 400 standing guests, and the Fairway Grill 160 seated or 200 standing. The President’s Room holds up to 100 seated or 120 standing guests, and can be divided into 2 smaller spaces that each hold 50 seated or 60 standing guests.

MEETING CAPACITY: The Vista Ballroom holds 400 guests seated theater-style or 150 classroom-style; the President’s Room 200 guests seated theater-style or 64 classroom-style.

Fees & Deposits

A $2,000 deposit is required to reserve your date; the balance is due 14 days prior to the event. Room rental fees range $200–2,000 depending on space rented. Luncheons range $15–25/person, dinners $35–50/person. Tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional. A $600–1,000 ceremony setup fee is extra.
