Most of the sophisticated event areas are ever so private, sequestered in the sumptuous sprawl of the main building's lower level. And Rosewood's hilltop location means inspiring vistas from expansive terraces and lawns.
Of course, our choice for a smashing reception or gala would be the 2,769-square-foot Rosewood Ballroom. Featuring hand-stenciled silk paneling, chandeliers, and a 16-foot ceiling, it opens to its own foyer and terrace where guests can mingle over cocktails while savoring the garden and mountain views. The adjacent Vista Lawn, which is bordered by gardens and mature trees and backed by a majestic mountain panorama, is custom-made for an al fresco ceremony.
Planning something a little more intimate? Consider the beautifully appointed Eucalyptus Room and its spacious foyer. Like the handsome Dogwood and Valley Oaks Boardrooms nearby, it can be used with the graceful Portico, a versatile outdoor "living room" with a rose garden surround and gorgeous mountain and garden views. In fact, the natural flow from interior to exterior environments is one of the hallmarks of this remarkable property. Even the more compact Courtyard Rooms near the hotel's entry fountain offer open breezeways and a tranquil, trellised terrace.
Short strolls around the grounds reveal other idyllic enclaves: The Cypress and Birch Gardens with their fountains and greenery, the treelined passages—even the pool—are all conducive to splendid parties, which the catering staff is well versed in delivering. 25% of the estimated event total is required to reserve your date, and the balance is due 30 days prior to the event. Rental and ceremony fees start at $1,000 and vary depending on day and time of the event, space selected, your guest count, and other factors. Meals range $125-350/person. Tax, alcohol and a service charge are additional.
