Sophisticated, fashion-forward wedding couples are drawn to Parc 55 Wyndham, unquestionably one of the best and most exciting downtown hotels. Events held at this venue, located on a chic little street off of Union Square in the heart of the city’s premier shopping, dining and arts district, are truly one hundred percent San Francisco. All of your guests—especially those coming from out of town—will appreciate the center-of-the-action locale, as well the impressive level of personal service, apparent right from the doorman’s greeting.

Encompassing four levels of dynamic event options, Parc 55 thrives with the energy and pizzazz of its neighborhood. Guests are admitted through the first-floor gallery, where a sculpted contemporary art wall makes a striking backdrop for wedding photos. A dramatic staircase climbs up to the bustling lobby, a spectacular two-story atrium with floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light. Hallways lead to an oasis of cozy gathering spots, each named for a city street or landmark. Also on this level is the hotel’s restaurant, Cityhouse, a local hotspot that welcomes rehearsal dinners, cocktail receptions or wedding brunches.

The third level features two junior ballrooms, though with capacity for up to 200 of your nearest and dearest, these spaces are plenty grand indeed. The handsomely appointed Market Street Room, for example, can easily accommodate a well-attended wedding ceremony. Stunning modern fixtures with sculptural elements evoke movement without overwhelming, so that the bride in all her glory still takes center stage. A spacious prefunction area is marvelous for cocktails overlooking the atrium, and it serves as a bridge to the larger Embarcadero Room, a lovely, airy reception choice with large arched windows on two sides.

An ascent to the fourth floor brings guests to the spacious Ballroom Foyer, whose 14-foot windows framing vibrant city vistas entice some couples to stage their ceremony here. Three sets of double doors open to the magnificent 5,600-square-foot Cyril Magnin Ballroom, which is ideal for a gala wedding reception catered to perfection. With a warm yet stately presence, the Cyril Magnin boasts a wall mural collage of San Francisco landmarks. The mural’s soft, burnished tones harmonize with almost any style reception. The ballroom can be sectioned into three smaller salons, perhaps with a ceremony held in one and dining and dancing unfolding in the other two.

Up on the 31st floor, the Executive Club Lounge has sleek décor and a panoramic view of the city lights. The Lounge is a snappy setting for a rehearsal dinner or cocktail hour…or for the newlyweds to savor a few minutes of alone time.

After such an epic celebration, no one—least of all the bride and groom—will want their sublime experience to end when the party is over. This stunningly renovated 32-floor property is lavished with high-class amenities, and friends and family should opt to overnight in one of the 1,015 deluxe rooms. Newlyweds deserve the splurge of a Sunset Suite with a parlor, dining room and Jacuzzi bath, or one of the Club Rooms on the top six floors. That way, they can relax on their wedding night and romance each other in the lap of luxury.
