Why We Like This Place

The North Tahoe Event Center, located in an enviable spot on the lake’s less-crowded North Shore, is a modern facility with nothing between it and the deep blue waters of the lake except a wide stretch of pristine beach. Both large and small events are welcome here.

During those glorious months from late spring to early fall, have your entire celebration on the center’s expansive Lakefront Terrace, right next to the sand. The serene, azure lake and jagged mountain silhouettes form a stunning backdrop, highlighting the importance of the moment. No matter where you are, gentle breezes flow off the water, and you feel like a part of the breathtaking panorama all around you. After, why not stroll along the shore with your new spouse, wriggle your toes in the sand, and let your photographer capture candid moments for you to look back on in the years to come? For your reception, continue to embrace the great outdoors, and dine on the spacious terrace, a premium spot to savor a romantic sunset or watch as the moon rises above the Eastern Sierras, casting a golden shimmer upon the lake.

The center also has several options for indoor gatherings year-round. The contemporary Lakeview Suite overlooks the deck through floor-to-ceiling windows, and the neutral décor doesn’t distract from the mesmerizing view of the lake and surrounding peaks dusted with snow. The 4,800-square-foot Timberline Room, with its hardwood stage and audiovisual equipment, is perfect for an elaborate gala. Other nice features include a large bride’s room, roomy commercial kitchen and in-house catering. You’re also free to bring your own alcohol, and use your own caterer.

Both you and your guests will love the chance to experience Tahoe’s year-round recreation—skiing, fishing, golf and hiking—as well as less strenuous but equally satisfying activities like fine dining, shopping and visiting art galleries.

With its prime location, flexibility, and glorious view, the North Tahoe Event Center has developed quite a following for those who wish to celebrate in one of the country’s most desirable destinations.

CEREMONY CAPACITY: Several rooms accommodate up to 350 seated or standing guests indoors. The Lakefront Terrace holds 350 seated or standing outdoors.

EVENT/RECEPTION CAPACITY: Various rooms hold up to 350 seated or 500 standing guests indoors. The Lakefront Terrace can seat 250 and accommodate 350 standing guests outdoors.

Fees & Deposits

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your date. The balance is due 2 weeks prior to the event. Rental fees range $1,100–9,000 depending on guest count and space reserved. If you bring your own caterer, there is an extra $3–7/person fee. Use of the in-house caterer requires a deposit (applied to the final catering invoice) to retain those services. In-house catering starts at $30/person. Tax, alcohol and service charges are additional.
