Los Gatos Lodge is an oasis of serenity, just minutes away from the center of picturesque downtown Los Gatos. Nestled on 10 beautifully landscaped acres, it’s an attractive garden setting with a warm, casual atmosphere. Its accessible location—close to three major airports—makes it very convenient for out-of-town wedding guests and business travelers alike.
The two-story lodge has 129 guest rooms, including 13 suites with fireplaces and over 5,000 square feet of banquet facilities featuring five meeting rooms for seminars, retreats, conferences, weddings, and receptions. Among the outdoor event spaces are the Garden Gazebo (designed exclusively for ceremonies), a large pool and patio with ample space for a band or DJ, and emerald-green lawns (great for cocktail receptions, wedding photos, or just a quiet stroll). The Whimsical Lawn, for example, boasts its own garden area that’s perfect for private dining and family gatherings.
The Garden Gazebo is a private, covered arbor set slightly outside of the circle formed by the lodge’s main buildings. It’s available for rental whether you’re holding your reception at the lodge or elsewhere, and it nicely combines both natural and decorative elements. Guests are seated on white garden chairs, while the wedding party makes its entrance through a frame of trees and flowers. They walk along an aisle runner, taking their places under a lattice arch. The bride can make a dramatic entrance from a nearby room that has been provided as a changing area.
You can choose the ceremony and reception spaces that best suit your event, and the venue’s wedding packages include many amenities such as a custom cake, florals, and a private bar with bartender.
The facilities at Los Gatos Lodge offer many advantages. If you’re planning a large wedding with a lot of out-of-town guests, you can reserve a block of rooms. Both wedding and business guests will appreciate the putting green, regulation bocce ball court, and the in-house food and beverage services. Here, your dining experience is enhanced by views of a lush garden through large picture windows. You might consider organizing a post-wedding brunch in one of the smaller banquet rooms, easily arranged by the lodge’s experienced Event & Wedding Planner. Their Bar & Grill, which serves lunch and dinner and has live entertainment on Friday and Saturday, is also a great place for an after party!
However you decide to utilize this flexible facility, you’ll find the management extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. Their hospitality even extends to your four-footed friends: If you’d like your pooch to be your ring bearer, no problem—the lodge is VERY pet friendly.
CEREMONY CAPACITY: Indoors, the El Gato Room acommodates 150 seated, the Saratoga Room 48 seated guests. Outdoors various areas hold up to 200 seated guests.
EVENT/RECEPTION CAPACITY: Indoors, the El Gato Room seats 120 seated guests, the DeAnza Room 80, the Saratoga Room 40, and the Garden Room 75 seated guests. Outdoors various areas hold up to 200 seated guests.
MEETING CAPACITY: Various rooms seat 15–80 classroom-style or 30–150 theater-style.
For all private events, a deposit in the amount of the room rental fee is due within 7 days of booking your date. The event balance is due 5 days prior to the event. Room rental fees run $300–1200 depending on the space reserved and time rented (half-day or full-day). Wedding packages range $79–119/person (including ceremony and reception space rental fees), and à la carte meals start at $20/person. Tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional. A $1.50/person cake-cutting fee also applies. Wedding packages may include wine, cake, flowers, chair covers, colored linens, and private bar with bartender.
For business functions, a deposit may be required. The event balance is due 5 days prior to the function. Meeting rooms run $200–500 and meals run $15–35/person; tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional.
