The Hollins House, built in 1929 by championship golfer Marion Hollins, is located above the Pasatiempo Golf Club in the Santa Cruz Mountains, not far from Highway 17. Approached through acres of green fairways, the house is situated atop a knoll and offers panoramic views of Monterey Bay. You can reserve either the entire facility or just the Hollins Room and Patio.
The Main Dining Room is very long, with high ceilings, big mirrors and picture windows with views of the garden and ocean beyond. There’s also a fireplace and hardwood parquet dance floor. The Tap Room is a more informal space, a cocktail lounge with a long brass bar, fireplace and windows overlooking garden and ocean. The adjacent garden is narrow, with a lawn bordered by profusely blooming impatiens. A medium-sized patio, surrounded by wisteria and situated next to the Hollins Room, is a picturesque place for an outdoor reception. The Hollins Room is an intimate private dining room with a big mirror, fireplace, chandelier, rounded bay windows with bench seat and a vista of the Pacific Ocean framed by nearby oak trees. The banquet coordinator will assist you with all of your event arrangements, from flowers to specialized menus.
CEREMONY CAPACITY: The Garden with gazebo holds 200 seated guests.
EVENT/RECEPTION CAPACITY: The entire facility accommodates 80–250 seated or standing guests in the summer and fall and 175 guests during cooler months. The Hollins Room and Patio, combined, hold 30 seated guests.
MEETING CAPACITY: The Hollins Room accommodates 10–30 seated conference-style; the Main Dining Room holds 50 seated conference- or theater-style.
A nonrefundable $2,500 deposit for the entire Hollins House or $500 deposit for the Hollins Room is required to secure your date. The total balance is due 7 days prior to the event, along with the final guest count. The facility fee for the entire Hollins House ranges $3,500–5,500. For the Hollins Room and Patio, it’s $500. The ceremony setup fee is $900.
Hors d’oeuvres/buffets run approximately $40/person and seated meals for up to 100 guests run $40–53/person. You may customize your menu with help from the chef and in-house event coordinator. For parties of 50 or more, a $300 security guard is required. Alcohol, tax and a 20% service charge are additional. There’s also a $2/person cake-cutting charge.
For meetings, Hollins House offers customized packages that may include continental breakfast, full lunch and dinner, plus tee times when available.

For weddings, the entire Hollins House is available Saturday 11am–4pm and 4pm–11pm with a buyout, or Sunday 4pm–9pm. For the Main Dining Room and Patio only, 6pm–11pm Saturday. Meeting availability is 8am–4pm Monday–Friday, and Tuesday–Saturday evenings from 6pm–11pm.
