Why We Like This Place

If an elegant, classic wedding is what you have your heart set on, well, we’ve found a place that every bride should put on her A-list. Whether your dream is a Wine Country wedding, a sophisticated black-tie affair, or an intimate ceremony amid roses and grapevines, the fabulous Harvest Inn can make your vision a reality.

Stroll along the inn’s curving brick pathways to the Manor House Lawn. Encircled by mature redwoods, birches and flowerbeds, this sunny verdant expanse is perfect for large events. Behind you the Manor House, with its spiral chimney, dormer windows and distinctive architecture, is a majestic backdrop for your festivities.

From the house it’s a short walk via a quaint stone Wishing Bridge to the Vineyard Terrace, where you’ll exchange vows, fanned by breezes redolent of ripening grapes. Guests can admire the terrace’s fountain, fragrant plantings of roses and lavender, and panoramic vineyard and mountain views. (By the way, Harvest Inn is one of the few venues in the Napa Valley where you can get married right next to a vineyard.)

Afterwards, everyone walks back to the Manor House lawn for photos and California sparkling wine while the terrace is set for the reception. When dinner is over, guests simply step into the adjacent Vineyard View Room for dancing and cocktails. In keeping with the Inn’s beautiful architecture, this space boasts white walls, exposed wood beams, plenty of windows and a massive stone fireplace. Though we saw the Vineyard View Room in the summer, it would be equally lovely for winter events, with a crackling fire casting a warm glow. For more intimate weddings, the Vin Rose Lawn, with its rose border and shady trees, is a delightful spot.

Within Harvest Inn’s eight acres of landscaped grounds, several guest cottages are hidden among trees, flowers, lawns, fountains, ponds and statues—a combination that creates a secluded, romantic ambiance. The structures all display appealing architectural design elements: exposed beams, plaster walls, dormer windows, stained glass and unique arched or spiral chimneys. Inside, the guest rooms feature such deluxe amenities as fireplaces, down featherbeds and comforters, and private terraces.

St. Helena, with its shops, restaurants and Napa Valley charm, is only a short drive away. And, if you’re a wine aficionado, there are dozens of nearby wineries where you can sample the fruit of the vine to your heart’s content. Whether you’re a garden lover or just looking for a place that will have your guests marveling at your party-planning prowess, Harvest Inn is likely to be the perfect choice. And if your beloved is reluctant to pop the question, why not book a weekend at Harvest Inn? The romantic atmosphere (helped along by a glass of premium Napa Valley wine) will have him proposing in no time at all!

CEREMONY CAPACITY: The Vin Rose Lawn holds 50 seated guests and the Vineyard View Terrace holds 120 seated guests. Indoors, the Fountain View Room holds 120 seated and the Vineyard View Room each hold 60 seated guests.

EVENT/RECEPTION & MEETING CAPACITY: The inn’s rooms each hold 60–120 seated or 80–150 standing guests indoors; outdoors the lawn and terrace accommodate 50–120 seated or 120–150 standing.

Fees & Deposits

50% of the site rental fee is the nonrefundable deposit that reserves your date. Site fees range $2,500–17,000 depending on venue selected. The estimated event balance is due 60 days prior to the event. The site fee includes guest rooms (which are required), as well as all sales and occupancy taxes; call for details. For weddings, a professional event or wedding coordinator is required to be on site on the day of the event.
