Haas-Lilienthal House

Why We Like This Place

The 1886 Haas-Lilienthal House is a Pacific Heights treasure and unique museum. Owned and operated by San Francisco Architectural Heritage, this stately Queen Anne-style Victorian has been meticulously preserved, complete with period furnishings. Largely unchanged since it was built, it offers an unparalleled Victorian experience that will transport you and your guests back in time.

An abundance of rich woodwork and architectural detail throughout create a warm, intimate environment that’s perfect for weddings. The main floor features 13-foot ceilings, two large parlors, a formal dining room and a foyer and hall. A spacious ballroom is available downstairs for larger parties. Exuding the grace and comfort of a bygone era, this historic house provides a delightful setting for your celebration.

In the city of “Painted Ladies,” the Haas-Lilienthal House is the only residential Victorian whose interior is open to the public. Tours are held Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and docent-led tours can be arranged for special events.

If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind wedding, the Haas-Lilienthal House is an excellent choice—and proceeds help ensure that the house will remain a San Francisco landmark for decades to come!
