For decades, Dinah's Garden Hotel has been known for its imaginative accommodations, tucked amidst five luxuriantly landscaped acres brimming with sparkling waterfalls. Recently, Dinah's teamed up with The Sea by Alexander's Steakhouse, a new venture from the acclaimed restaurant group. The partnership has added delectable dining, as well as an array of event spaces that exude modern elegance with Asian flair.
A wedding here might begin with an intimate ceremony on a spacious L-shaped terrace. Say your vows in the redwood section, bordered by planter boxes filled with greenery. Guests look on from chic white leather chairs, shaded by canvas umbrellas. Then toast the momentous occasion in the adjoining tiled section beneath a vaulted awning, where high-top cocktail tables and stylish lounge furniture create a congenial atmosphere.
Receptions unfold in The Sea's ballroom, a refined space whose Brazilian cherrywood floor is polished to a warm gleam. Recessed lighting, a soaring cathedral ceiling and multipaned clerestory windows lend a luminous grandeur. There's plenty of room for dancing, and the latest tech capabilities—including "surround sound"—expand your entertainment options.
Like the ballroom, the main dining room's clean, contemporary aesthetic achieves a look of uncomplicated sophistication. The bar and lounge is a fun place to mingle before or after the main event. Next to the lounge is the Gulf Room, where frosted glass panes and embroidered black curtains create privacy. A slanted ceiling and geometric nooks showcasing floral arrangements add architectural interest. With a capacity of up to 50 seated guests, the Gulf Room hosts rehearsal dinners or intimate receptions with grace and ease. Another option is the Boardroom, whose floor-to-ceiling glass looks out to the Patio—a nice spot to host cocktails before moving inside for dinner.
The centerpiece of The Sea is, of course, the food. Under the leadership of Executive Chef Yu Min Lin, who previously helmed a Michelin-rated restaurant, The Sea is dedicated to taking the freshest seasonal ingredients and transforming them into an extraordinary culinary adventure. Yu Min meticulously sources all his seafood, selecting only the best wild and sustainably harvested products.
Kick off your cocktail hour with epicurean treats like hamachi shots or Wagyu beef rolls. For the main course, the seafood entrées are the most popular, but creative vegetarian dishes and high-quality steaks are also available. An extensive wine list and specialty cakes by The Sea's Executive Pastry Chef round out the offerings. Throughout, the well-trained staff delivers synchronized service for a seamless dining experience.
The hotel displays the same originality and attention to detail as the restaurant. A stroll through Dinah's Garden Hotel takes you past romantic gardens filled with koi ponds, waterfall grottos and quaint footbridges. To further enhance your stay, each of Dinah's 129 guest rooms is individually decorated with world-class art and priceless collectibles. Lagoon rooms embrace lush foliage and the sound of flowing water. The opulently arrayed Signature Suites boast luxurious amenities such as a steam room, private decks, and a working model train. The morning after, enjoy brunch at Dinah's Poolside Restaurant, a local favorite.
With everything you need to hold a memorable wedding weekend all in one place, this peninsula oasis is a winning combination.
