The in-laws have landed, your adoring fans arrive tomorrow for the rehearsal dinner, and the wedding whirlwind is about to begin, but you two are already having the time of your lives….

After a leisurely morning you brunched al fresco at the Hilltop Restaurant, had a full-body massage at The Spa, and then melted away any remaining tension in the poolside hot tub, which has one of the best vineyard views in Napa. Tonight you’re going to play “spot the celeb,” while sipping a cult Cabernet by one of the inn’s fireplaces, followed by dinner at Farm Restaurant, where the cuisine celebrates the bounty of Carneros and its neighboring farmers and ranches. As the sun sets behind lavender hills, you’ll be able to relax knowing that everything will be expertly taken care of.

The Carneros Inn is the area’s only resort, nestled among 27 acres of rolling hills, grapevines, unspoiled farmland, and scenic apple orchards. Its architectural style is based on cues from the local countryside—barns, silos and ranchers’ cottages—but rendered with a shot of industrial soul. The resulting look has a clean, modernist aesthetic softened by a hip, “farm-shui” vibe—true luxury without any pretense.

Beautifully landscaped walking paths meander from the apple orchard—their premier ceremony location—through flowering gardens with fountains to all the facilities on the property. A wide range of inspiring event locations can accommodate the size and style of almost any celebration. The Napa and Sonoma Ballrooms showcase the resort’s rustic-luxe design with their soaring peaked roofs, hand-crafted barn-board walls, and state-of-the-art lighting and sound. Both light-filled ballrooms are divisible into smaller sections for more intimate events, and each opens onto the Carneros Courtyard through multiple sets of French doors.

The trellised Carneros Courtyard is custom-made for outdoor gatherings. Along with its spacious lawn, apple trees and stone wood-burning fireplace, it’s wired for sound and has festival lighting. It’s a dream setting for an open-air cocktail reception or post-dinner cigars and cognac by a roaring fire.

For rehearsal dinners or smaller weddings and private events, reserve the Hilltop Restaurant. Its patios flank the signature infinity-edged pool, and whether you’re entertaining inside the restaurant or out, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of the hills and surrounding vineyards.

Wine tasting is a favorite pastime in the valley, but the resort offers a long list of other tempting activities. Get the blood moving with a yoga class, a round of bocce ball or a swim in the “infinity” lap pool (which is lined with cabanas, outfitted with phone and internet). The Fitness Barn (overlooking the pool) provides plenty of equipment, and features retractable walls to take advantage of the Napa weather.

At the end of a thoroughly satisfying day, your own little hideaway awaits. Indulge in an outdoor shower for two on your private patio with a view of bucolic vineyards and rolling hills. Then luxuriate in the heated slate floors, 800-thread-count sheets, and a match-ready fireplace. CEREMONY, EVENT/RECEPTION & MEETING CAPACITY: The Inn holds up to 175 guests, indoor or outdoor, seated or standing.

Fees & Deposits

50% of the estimated event total is required to reserve your date. 25% is due 3–6 months prior and the balance is due 14 days prior to the event. Rental fees range $8,000–12,000 depending on the space rented. Food and beverage minimums begin at $130/person. Tax and a 20% service charge are additional.
