Why We Like This Place
For the couple who dream of exchanging vows in full view of rolling waves, an endless blue horizon, and the dynamic Monterey skyline, this is your place. It also has the delightful distinction of being the only resort in the area that’s located directly on the beach and can accommodate beach wedding ceremonies. Miles of pristine white sand stretch in either direction; during the day sailboats dot the white-capped waters of the bay, and at night the lights of Monterey glitter on the far shore.
Of course, it takes more than a beautiful beach to make a first-class event facility, and Beach Resort Monterey has a variety of newly renovated venues. A wedding reception, corporate event, or any type of large gathering can be held in one of two ballrooms on the fourth floor. The Points Ballroom has plenty of windows with a sweeping vista of Monterey Bay. Air walls allow the ballroom to be divided if desired. The La Grande Room is smaller than the Points Ballroom, but virtually identical to it in all other respects, including the panoramic view.
With all this stunning scenery, you’d expect outdoor events at Beach Resort Monterey to be popular and they are. Adventurous couples can tie the knot on the resort’s ocean deck or the South Terrace, and the resort will provide a wedding arch, white chairs and an aisle runner.
If you’d like to be married outdoors but still crave a bit of formality, there’s the Wedding Garden, a secluded, lushly planted lawn area set up with chairs and a classic arch.
As evening descends, retire indoors to one of the elegant ballrooms for dinner and dancing. The resort’s catering professionals can even customize your package with specialty menu items to enhance your wedding theme. Then keep the festivities going with an after party in the aptly named Bayview Room.
For an intimate rehearsal dinner or post-wedding brunch, the Captain’s Table on the hotel’s top floor serves up panoramic views of the ocean and Monterey skyline along with its California coastal cuisine.
The resort is a great place for a destination wedding, because in addition to its flexible event spaces it boasts upgraded guestrooms that make staying here a pleasure. Amenities include 42″ flat panel HD TVs, iHome docking stations, complimentary WiFi and garden or ocean views.

Fees & Deposits
For weddings, 25% of the estimated total is required to reserve your date. Wedding packages range $77–107/person excluding beverages. Reception-only packages are also available.
Availability
Year-round, daily, 7am–10pm on the South Terrace, Ocean Deck and in the Garden. Beach Ceremonies available May–October. All events must conclude at 10pm. An after-party location is available from 10pm–2am at an additional cost.
