One of Silicon Valley’s finest resort/health clubs, the Bay Club Santa Clara (formerly Decathlon Club) is ingeniously designed to accommodate private events, corporate functions and wedding receptions. As you enter, there is a shaded atrium setting with a bubbling stream that flows through the building, beautifully separating the social-function spaces from the Club’s spa and athletic areas. Ficus trees glow with white twinkle lights at night, and abundant greenery creates a lush indoor garden.
For special events, guests are invited into their private area without having to mingle with Club members. The large skylit dining area is filled with natural light during the day, and on a clear night you can see stars sparkling overhead. There is a lot more sparkle inside, however, and it comes from the chairs. Chiavari chairs to be more precise. Ornate and gilded, these special seats add elegance and a bit of glamour to your dining experience. After enjoying your meal, take a turn on the raised hardwood dance floor.
A nine-acre complex, the Bay Club Santa Clara is extremely well suited for corporate functions. For team building, company picnics, grad nights and other group activities, many of the Club’s sports facilities are available for rental. Corporate challenges or inter-office games can be played here, all supported by a helpful and experienced staff.
In fact, no matter what kind of event you have at the Club, the staff is committed to making it a total success. CEREMONY CAPACITY: Tthe Main Dining Room holds 400 seated theater-style. Please inquire for outdoor ceremony capacity.
EVENT/RECEPTION CAPACITY: Indoors, the Club accommodates 550 guests seated or standing.
MEETING CAPACITY: The Monterey Room holds 10 seated conference-style and the Peninsula Room 20 seated conference-style. Meeting rooms come with screen and white board. The newly renovated Vista Room holds up to 120 guests seated banquet-style and has many audiovisual amenities as well as wireless internet access.
A nonrefundable deposit is due when your reservation is confirmed; 50% of the estimated food & beverage total is due 6 months prior to the event and the balance is due 3 days prior. The rental fee is $2,000 for Friday, Saturday & Sunday and $1,000 for Monday–Thursday. The rental fee covers a 5-hour period; overtime is available at an additional charge. Plated dinner selections range $32–45/person, buffets range $42–48/person; hors d‘oeuvres range $275–575 per 100 pieces. Beverage packages start at $12/person. Tax and a 20% service charge are additional. A $1,000 wedding ceremony fee includes setup, cleanup, coordinator and rehearsal. Food & beverage minimums are required for events.d
