The professionally-trained Video Madness film crew appreciates the need to be low-profile—not only will they be appropriately dressed for your event, but their top-of-the-line gear enables them to produce a quality film without blinding lights or a socially intrusive presence. But while cutting-edge equipment may be impressive, it is not sufficient by itself to create a great film. Using their 20+ years of experience and artistic sensibilities, Video Madness makes the composition, framing, shot selection, and editing choices that are essential to create a truly moving portrait of your event.
Their packages fit a wide range of budgets and styles:
- Elite Reserve packages are multi-camera packages featuring cinematic HD-DSLR cameras, modern film editing, and the personal services of owner/director Bob Farnsworth for a truly stunning motion picture of your event.
- Standard Level packages feature HD cameras and beautiful recaps.
- Economy Level packages feature HD cameras and minimal editing.
Video Madness offers many options, including Same Day Edits (SDE), Teaser Trailers delivered just days after the event, and even photo albums. Because they shoot in high-definition, Video Madness has the ability to use video stills to create high-resolution print photos and magazine-style photo albums.
Questions and Answers
About This Company
Since 1989, over 2500 Bay Area events have made Video Madness a very trusted name in wedding images. Owner Bob Farnsworth has always loved using cutting edge tools to deliver an emotional and artistic wedding film. He tells us:
“I have always believed that Bay Area couples appreciate cutting edge technology more than the average couple. I went digital, then to HD, and to HD-DSLR before few if any of my peers made the move. The most recent advent of HD- DSLR cameras like the Canon 5D Mark II have really catapulted videographers into the film world, and have given couples amazing choices for their events. The look and feel of these cameras and films really allow us to create something that looks incredible. These are very exciting times. Many new companies, in business for less than 5 years, offer HD-DSLR short films—but few have the skill set to document the entire day including quality audio. Experience cannot be replaced. Be sure the experience level of the company is up to capturing long as well as short forms.”
“Offering a mix of services is something I have always believed in. It would be easier in many ways to just deliver our Elite Reserve packages. The level of detail and client involvement is terrific. But that would leave out many couples, relegating them to hiring inexperienced newcomers or less capable companies. Worse, they may opt to do nothing. Offering economy services carries a challenge for us. But we manage to make the vast majority of our clients quite happy.”
“Ask yourself this before opting for a subpar company: If I could magically hand you a professional DVD of your great grandmothers wedding film, or her photo album, but not both—what would you choose? On weekends, do you visit photo galleries or attend the movies? Nothing brings you into an event like film. Don’t let this opportunity slip away. Weddings offer a unique and valuable chance for the most important people in your life to be documented forever. Let us help”.
