True Confections offers completely customized wedding cakes with a focus on local, seasonal, organic and sustainable products. They use only the highest quality ingredients—even adding safe, unsprayed flowers as decoration, or molding their own out of sugar or chocolate! Judy Chadwick will create a beautifully designed dessert that’s full of flavor. Ask about options for special dietary needs. 

  • No minimum order required.
  • Wedding Cake price determined upon consultation.
  • Supplemental Sheet Cakes start at $3.50 per serving.
  • Cupcakes start at $3.50 per serving.
  • Cookies start at $3.00 per serving.

Questions and Answers

Tell us about your company name. I stole it! It came from the title of a book on the history of wedding cakes.

What drew you to this field/how did you get started? It was 1993; I was a paralegal and bored out of my mind. The California Culinary Academy mailed me a flyer about their new Baking and Pastry Program. I thought, why not do something I love for a living?

What are 3 words that describe your personality? Calm. Quiet. Creative.

What's your favorite book/movie/work of art? My favorite book is Pride and Prejudice. I'm a hopeless romantic!

What's your favorite marriage advice? Remember that you're not perfect. Every time my husband does something that makes me crazy, I remember that I make him crazy sometimes, too. If he puts up with me, then I can put up with him. It has worked for over 25 years now.

Tell us about your pets, if you have any. Syra and Rickey are my indoor kitties, adopted from the Easy Bay Humane Society. Torey, Henry and Gregory are my outdoor kitties, adopted from Fix Our Ferals.
