Questions and Answers

What 3 words describe your work? Elegant. Inspired. Memorable.

Why should someone hire you? Often, when someone asks me what I do, I tell them, "I am a maestro who conducts wedding symphonies." I then go on to explain that I am a wedding coordinator; but to my clients, I am so much more. I think of each couple's wedding as a beautiful, original musical composition that I assist the couple with composing and that I am ultimately responsible for conducting to a flawless ending. The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing are the "movements" and the caterer, photographer, florist, etc. are the "orchestra". Thinking about weddings in this way really helps me to creatively collaborate with my couples to imagine the big ways and the little ways that we can make their wedding day uniquely meaningful and memorable.

What are some sources of inspiration or influences on your work? I love the visual arts and, as a hobby (and when I can find time!), I sometimes draw, paint and/or create mixed media sculptures. I enjoy playing with colors, shapes, textures and materials and helping my couples envision the possibilities. I am very observant of my couples and their surroundings, and constantly seeking and gaining creative inspiration from mundane, everyday items from throw rugs to ceiling fans, mailboxes to backyard arbors. Items like these can provide inspired and personally meaningful ideas for key aspects of a couple's wedding.
