What 3 words best describe your work? Whimsical. Chic. Organized.
Why should someone hire you? It is within my best interest to ensure that my clients are a perfect fit for me—as I truly believe there is a perfect planner for every bride. The relationships that I develop with my clients allow me to build the trust needed for them to relax and enjoy their wedding day. I take pride in the fact that each and every one of our events is customized to each of our client's unique personality and tastes. Getting down to the brass tacks, we offer incomparable organization, utilizing customized online planning tools and comprehensive event scheduling tools that are loved by clients and vendors alike.
What are the common misconceptions about your services? It is very common for brides to be concerned that an event consultant will take over their wedding planning and turn it into something different than what they imagined. The truth is, if the right person is hired for the job, they will be your trusted advocate on the day of the event, making decisions on your behalf based on your unique preferences so that you can sit back, relax and enjoy your day without having to sweat the small stuff.
What drew you to this field/how did you get started? Having had a bad experience with my own wedding planner when organizing my own wedding, I decided to start my business to provide the quality of service I expected as a bride to my own clients. I keep my experience close to my heart, to ensure that I exceed expectations each and every time.
What are some sources of inspiration or influences on your work? Fashion magazines and blogs (Vogue, The Sartorialist, etc.), interior design magazines and blogs (Dwell, Elle Decor, Apartment Therapy, etc.), and of course, wedding magazines and blogs like Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, Style Me Pretty, etc.
What makes a wedding memorable for you? Personal and intimate moments between our clients and their guests. This can be conveyed through thoughtful details, a heartfelt ceremony, or even surprise guest experiences.
What have weddings taught you? To relax and calmly solve problems without getting wrapped up in the drama.
What is the best advice you give a couple when planning their wedding? Enjoy EVERY moment—you will miss planning your wedding once it's over, so savor it! Also, take a deep breath and take it one step at a time. Lastly, for my clients who fall in love with many styles, remember that you will plan many parties in your lifetime and you can always save that decorating idea for a future birthday, anniversary, etc.
If you could have any superpower on the job, what would it be? I would love the ability to clone myself. Thankfully, I have many amazing team members who act as my clone when I cannot be everywhere at once!
What are 3 words that describe your personality? Fashionable. Detail-oriented. Organized.
What's your favorite marriage advice? A weekly date night is a must!
What's your favorite way to wind down after a hard day? A glass of red wine while cooking dinner, and a bubble bath.
Tell us about your pets, if you have any. I have a silver Labrador Retriever named Sterling and a teacup panther (large black house cat) named Sebastian.
What are some of your favorite places to eat—either everyday spots or special occasion splurges? I am a huge foodie and love all kinds of cuisine from food trucks to chef's tables. Most recently, I adore Ella, Tuli, Magpie and Mulvaney's B & L.
