Services

Erin Beach offers true photojournalistic style as a wedding photographer—indeed, she worked for about a decade in news before turning her attention to weddings.

As a photojournalist, Erin Beach’s work has appeared in such newspapers as USA Today, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the Chicago Tribune; her wedding photos have been published in People, The Knot magazine, and Today’s Bride. After nearly a decade as a photojournalist, Erin Beach became a wedding photographer.

Erin is an award-winning member of both the Wedding Photojournalism Association and the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalism Association.

Her prices include photography fees, second shooter, proofs, and local travel. Services start at $4,000 and can be customized to fit your needs.

Certified By The Guide Reviews

(What does this mean?)
These Reviews are from real brides who have used this vendor's services—pulled straight from their Certified by The Guide reference check. We only post reviews that we have collected, so we can feel confident that they are the real deal. Yes, we know. We're control freaks.

“We loved, loved, loved Erin! And we love, love, LOVE our photos! When we first got them back, we couldn’t believe they were images of us—she made us look SOOOOOO good. If I hadn’t just married my husband I would marry him again after looking at our pictures—he just looked so handsome!”

“Very high-end and artistic, and very vibrant. Her candid shots of people are incredible.”

“I still cry over my wedding photos because they are not just portraits, they are the raw emotion of the day and the little details I didn’t get a chance to see for very long that day. Erin saw it all beautifully.”

“Every shot that I told her was important to me, she captured in the most beautiful way. She has the uncanny ability to make people feel very comfortable in her presence. Every bride wants to look back at the photos from her wedding day and feel stunning, and that is the way I feel about the shots that Erin took.”

“On top of her game.”

“I don’t know anyone that is as happy with their wedding photos as we are with ours!”

“Some of the images I like the most are her detail shots—when you’re planning your wedding, you put so much energy into choosing those tiny details. It was so nice to have them captured. Plus, I really appreciate that Erin can shoot beautiful traditional family photos that you definitely want but excels in the ‘in the moment shots’ that are absolutely priceless.”

Questions and Answers

What 3 words describe your work? Unobtrusive, documentary, artistic.

Why should someone hire you? My clients hire me because I capture the real moments of their wedding day in an unobtrusive, artistic way, with nothing forced or cheesy.

How did you get started? Prior to starting my business, I worked for a decade as a photojournalist and news producer. After photographing a friend's wedding I realized that it was more artistic and a much happier profession than the news industry. Soon after, I was a full-time wedding photographer and I haven't looked back since.

What are some of sources of inspiration or influences on your work? I love the work of Magnum photographer Martin Parr for his use of color and humor. I also look to Lauren Greenfield for her ability to find amazing moments in ordinary life.

What are 3 words that describe your personality? Approachable, conscientious, down-to-earth.

What's your favorite marriage advice? Hold your tongue. I heard this during a great toast at a wedding. An elder with a long marriage said the best way to keep the harmony is generally to keep quiet.

Extracurricular Activities: I love cooking and experiencing new fresh, fantastic and healthy foods (as well as some that aren't too healthy)!
