Rates for Saturdays during peak wedding season are published on his website but please inquire about discounts for non-Saturday and off-season events.

Questions and Answers
What 3 words describe your work? Imaginative. Creative. Unexpected.
Why should someone hire you? I try to make the picture-taking process fun for my clients and my laid-back approach is always well received. I'm there to help relieve stress so my clients can focus on enjoying the day.
What are the common misconceptions about your services? "Photojournalism" is a term that is thrown around quite a bit these days. The majority of the images that I shoot at a wedding are candid moments, but I have never shot an event without some posed photographs. Most of the beautiful images that you see in magazines or on the web are directed by the photographer in some way. When shooting weddings, it's important to capture spontaneous moments but you need the skill to create them as well.
What are some sources of inspiration or influences on your work? It's rare that I open a bridal magazine. Most of my favorite artists are fashion photographers and their work greatly influences my wedding photography. Ask any bride if she wants her photos suitable for the pages of Modern Bridal or Vogue and I bet you can guess which she will pick?
Tell us about a favorite, unusual or most interesting moment at a wedding: At one memorable wedding in Sausalito I painted the bride's nails. We were running behind schedule so I put the camera down and saved the day!!
What is the best advice you give to a couple when planning their wedding? I always talk to my clients about the picture-taking process. It's easy to get bogged down when shooting family portraits so I offer suggestions on how to make things go smoothly and quickly. We also talk about light. There are certain hours of the day that are best for picture-taking and proper planning must be utilized to take full advantage.
What is your favorite quote? "Memory is very important, the memory of each photo taken, flowing at the same speed as the event. During the work, you have to be sure that you haven't left any holes, that you've captured everything, because afterwards it will be too late." —Henri Cartier-Bresson
If you weren't in your current profession, what would you do instead? If I win the lottery today I will still be a photographer tomorrow. It's how I make a living but it's also what I love to do—lucky me!!
